Have you heard from them? It’ s long but still “reasonable “ for them so not much to do unless waiting 😕

they sent me a letter telling they are sending my case to MO to “speed up the process “ . Was 3 months ago

Where did you fill up your N400?

Thanks, this is really helpful. I did called USCIS and changed address over the phone, then they sent me a communication that says that I "might" have to file AR 11 but they will let me know. And nothing yet...but I think they should have my address already.  So if I understand correctly is better to bring the original letter?

The original is always best. Like I said, file AR-11 anyway just to be on the safe side.

Good afternoon everyone, i just want to give an update on my case, I went in for my N-400 interview this afternoon at Tampa, FL. Waited for 2 hours 45 minutes because i went in so early, when finally called in the immigration officer that did the interview was so sweet, we were just having general discussion about life, what i do for a living, where did i go to college and where i worked. She asked me to read, then told me to write what she read out to me, asked me 6 questions and told me congratulations, i asked her i have I-751 pending and she told me yes she knows and she got in in front of her, and told me not to worry cos she have approved it, she did not ask me for any document, did not ask for my spouse, before i walked out of her office i got an update via text and email saying i am in line for Oath Ceremony.

I would say always have faith and believe and hope for the best in every situation. My journey is almost over i can'r wait for next week to be sworn in as an AMERICAN.

Congratulations! My wife has her interview Thursday. I hope it goes this smoothly. Now if I could only get her to study the 100 questions! lol

Good day everybody, So I have a question about my case which is a little uncommon. My I-751 has been pending since June 2017 coming up to 14 months (CSC FILER) and I became eligible to early file for my N-400 this past July. However I have for several reasons (gathering of evidence, lack of time) postponed the filing and I am going to file it this August.  I could be possibly shipping to boot camp with the Marines within the next couple of months. I think that judging by the timelines of my field office (OKC 6.5 to 14 months to process N-400) and other members' experiences I would be able to attend my biometrics appointment just fine. I gather it takes about a month for them to send you the notice. However what worries me is the interview for my N-400. I am going to be a total of 6 months away for training, my residency is still where I currently live and my spouse will stay here as well. But if the interview comes up while I am in training I won't be able to attend. What happens in this case? Am I going to get a denial, can I request a postponement. I guess I am taking a gambit by filing now, normally is taking like 8 months after you file the N-400/I-751 pending combo at least for CSC filers I have seen (You could correct me if I am wrong) but still I don't know when I am going to ship it could be next month, it could be December so it is quite a dilemma. Thoughts?

Cheers.

My wife passed her naturalization interview. She answered the 6 civics questions correctly and passed the English reading/speaking/writing test too. Prior to the tests, I sat with her as the IO went through the i751 application. Everything checked out and he said he was approving that, too. Nice to be done with both. Sounds like she'll receive the 10 yr green card before the next available oath ceremony in late September. Nice to be done with both applications. Now just to wait around for the card and ceremony.

See our signature to see details on dates.

Pro tip: We hadn't thought of it beforehand but it's probably a good idea to ask after the interview when the next available Oath Ceremony is for the local office. Luckily, the IO was cool and volunteered that it was probably going to be set up for late Sept.

If you think 16-20 is bad, wait until you see Houston, TX wait time. 17 to 20 months and our timeline says 21 months!

I would ask your recruiter for advice.  Naturalization is a big thing and even though military training is important, they may allow for a short leave to attend an interview.

Good Luck!
