Did you submit a terms of use or anything like that from okcupid?

Nope, we didn't. 😔 We already emailed OkCupid regarding the IMB thing just to be ready in case this is what they'll request from us in the RFE.

Its been 24 days and i dint receive any packet from NVC, No case number ... nothing else, can anybody tell me how much time it will take to get receive packet or any information?

People usually call them after around 2-3 weeks from NOA2 to get the case number and track your package in its way to the Embassy. They are usually quite slow sending any communication.

See the K1 flowchart for the phone number. :)

I guess I need to just post ... I am getting so frustrated and tired. Our case was received December 22 and NOA1 on January 3rd. All this time and nothing. I'm seeing January filers with received dates of a month later than us getting approved left and right. That is great for them, but kind of terrifying for those of us with so much earlier dates. This December thread is getting quiet. I am just so exhausted from this. I don't want to even talk to my fiance about being worried because I'm the upbeat one about this process; he's just worried about it all the time. But now I'm worried. I don't know what to do. Are we screwed? Are we destined to be the next poor people stuck inside the 80-something cases left for the month in the next week or two like the poor remaining November filers? Is it as bad as it looks for us? We sent a huge amount of information, hundreds of pictures, dozens of pages of Skype records, and even affidavits of support and police records and stuff before they were required to try to make it as thorough as possible. That was probably really dumb, because maybe nobody wants to deal with our case because it's a big file. Maybe it's my fault that we're left behind, because I put in too much. I just wanted to do everything I could to make things go smoothly. Now we're stuck in limbo and nothing we can do. I feel so much for the people who have filed earliest and have still not been answered. I so hope that they will finish with the earliest cases and work their way up to ours. I don't know even exactly why I'm writing this except just to say it somewhere, and to ask: Are there others out there who filed around our time? How are you doing? What does everyone think about the status of the remaining December filers, is it terrible news for us that we haven't been touched yet?

Don't worry, I don't think it's your fault, or that your case is too dense. Our case was received on December 6 / NOA1 on December 9 and we still haven't heard anything either. As far as I can tell, the case hasn't even been touched, and we're a pretty basic, clear-cut case with no complications. It IS so very, very frustrating though. I completely agree...For us, we're sitting back waiting on that "outside normal processing time" mark to pass and getting ready to start putting pressure from whatever direction we can.

December 1, 2016: Mailed I-129F

December 6, 2016: Case Received

December 9, 2016: Notified by email

December 11, 2016: NOA1 By Mail

December 11, 2016 - June 3, 2017: Waited and waited and waited, called, yelled, demanded answers. :-P

May 31, 2017: I-129F Approved

June 3, 2017: NOA2 by email

June 19, 2017: Called and received case number from NVC

June 21, 2017: Case received by consulate in South Africa.

We were in the same boat they received our case on December 6th and then an RFE on April 8th and then received notice on the April 17th and as of today no NO2 . I feel your frustration.  Paranoia was starting to seep in about no notifications. I personally decided to not look at the forum as much as I was since it was causing me more anxiety than anything ie. seeing people way after me already at their interview!!!! crazy stuff. Just hang in there,

That definitely could be it. If you met online you should always include the terms of use from the website. I met mine online and included them it was like 20 pages.

Good luck!!!

Just hang in there! My time was around the same. Just be patient, I know it's hard but it'll be worth it!

Your case not being touched could be anything from yours is complicated somehow to you got put on the bottom of a stack of papers. Don't sweat it too much.

Thanks, it's good knowing others are in the same place. I can see how it could be crazy-making though to see all the updates. For us, we've been mostly chalking it up to USCIS being buried under even more cases than usual with the change over in administration here in the US. We reached the 5 month mark today for when we submitted our case, but I'm going to give them until the received date before I start calling. We know it happens, and its mostly just chance. Our wedding is scheduled for the beginning of October though, which we thought was plenty of extra time being almost a year out. We planned to get legally married when the visa came through and have our wedding in the clear. But at this rate, we're worried that this will impact our wedding plans!

I met my fiance on a website that they consider IMBRA, I would not argue, all they asked for was the consent form she signed, for the site to release her information (email, phone number). She scanned this and emailed to me, and I returned to USCIS on April 26th. Now waiting.............

I think a lot of it also has to do with the large rush of filers in December who wanted to avoid the fee increase. I know that I was one of them! Our wedding is also scheduled for the end of October and while I'm starting to stress a little bit about potentially having to move the date, I'm still trying to remain positive because I know there is nothing I can do at the moment but keep waiting. I hope you and everyone else still waiting for NOA2 hear some good news soon!

Ah! We didn't think about that. You're most likely spot on.

We made it a point to only make arrangements with vendors who were willing to work with us potentially having to move the date. Still, I'm sure you guys felt like we did that October was a totally safe bet! Ugh. Well, like you said, best of luck to everyone getting through this asap!
