We visited twice in Philippines for 1 week each. In addition to Skype how many do you recommend? 5 Visits? 10? 20? Keep in mind a trip to Philippines is expensive and takes time too. Why not make it 100 visits?

For what it's worth, I had 15 visits to see my wife before marrying her. But I do admit that I was a little on the cautious side. Even after 15 visits there was a ton of stuff I didn't know about until she landed in the US and lived with her for about 6 months. Condolences on your bad luck.

I would also join the mass of users cautioning you to stop exclusively looking for women from other countries but from your previous posts I feel the real root issue is your expectations and treatment of women.

It doesn't sit right with me nor will it likely sit well with any potential "choice" of spouse, foreign or domestic.

This is one of those stories in which I've said before. You can date/marry whomever you want, but don't about it when it does not work out.

Folks here can only provide guidance/advice, and it's up to you to take/use/heed their words. There isn't a target # of trips/length of stay that will guaranteed a relationship, but it helps mitigate being scammed.

OP, did you visit her family/friends? Live in her environment?

Anyone, at any point, no matter what you do, could be using you or planning to ditch you when the time is right. The woman you meet at the bar, the guy down at the bookstore, a family member even.

Your chances of this happening increase when money is involved, and is even HIGHER when you're bringing someone from a poorer country to a rich one. Generally the more money you have, the higher risk you'll be of having this happen. MOST people can't just fish a country of their choice for women, and KEEP fishing when one fails, unless of course you have money.


She may want someone who can bring her into the country, you may want someone to be a maid you can have sex with and do as you please. Welcome to the wonderful world of immigration bargaining, she made you think she would provide you with things that others may detest (as seen throughout this thread) and you provided her with the means to get into the US.

Not saying what either of you did was right, but at the end of the day, if you're going to find a woman who wants to be the kind of woman you want her to be, you're either in for a scam, or a lady who has lost a bit of her personal self and is willing to give it up for what she was probably taught to be "the better life". Some people believe that it is better to be in a heavily controlled relationship that comes with financial security, than it is to be in a loving relationship and be poor, or even alone and living in mediocrity.

I would take me 10 years + to visit Philippines 15 times. Impossible.

This is a very cruel world we live in and the leaders of this cruel world are participants on this forum. You people have no clue what my situation is. You have no clue that I met this woman online and visited her and her family, friends, and even went to church and had counseling with her pastor in Manila. You are clueless that I saved her life by giving her a lifesaving surgery. You're clueless that I literally gave her and her mom and place to live for many many months because her mom was ill and couldn't work. But of course I'm a bad guy because my x from 2015 scammed me right? And you read my posts? Ha! I really don't care what you people think you don't know me from Adam's house cat. I will never seek advice / counsel from anyone else on this board as it's 100% negative / demeaning / I'm glad it happened to you / you're a loser !!
