Age difference question at the interview

Hello All,

I and my fiancée have age difference and I’m worried about her answering this question. I understand we can tell yeah, “once we met, we liked each other and we had plenty of time to talk to each other on phone, Skye, Viber and find out that we are the best for each other. We are in love and wanted to live together for rest of our lives.” It really doesn’t sound good to me, how do you paraphrase this in way that it is not questionable? Did you answer this or you know someone did, please help if you can.

May thanks..

The truth, always. I'm 21 years older than my husband and it wasn't an issue for us. The CO asked us about our age difference and we just told him it didn't bother us, it doesn't.

When I was asked about being older than my fiance, I said the truth. That at first, I was worried that I was older and he might not be ready for a serious relationship and I was looking to settle down. But that my fiance is wiser & mature beyond his years and we never noticed the age difference at all through out our 3 year relationship. We simply brought out the best in each other and have learned to adjust to each other's shortcomings and love not only the good in each other, but also the bad.

Thank you for your reply, I don't why my question seems like that I want to lie about it, its just they I was phrasing it, it seemed not correct to me. The answer in different paraphrasing doesn't mean that I want to lie about it. I hope you all undstand me..

I am also 21 years older than my husband and we were so worried about this issue during his interview, but to our surprise it was NEVER even mentioned.

yup, i totally get you. you want a more clear and concise way to answer that would really show how genuine your relationship is. i think its just bad timing because another member yesterday said they got denied because they altered their story to make it more believable. hehe. and tbh, your original answer wasn't bad at all, i thought it was pretty sincere.

You have not stated the difference in your ages, if it is a sensitive subject, then so be it, but if we knew more, we could tall you more.

I am US citizen my Filipino wife is 35 years younger than me, was not even brought up at the interview!

Best of luck to you, be sincere and tell the exact truth, and look them in the ""eye"" when you speak of this, if it comes up!

Age difference question at the interview

I also worry about the question that will come up regarding the age difference between my fiance and I. I am 21 years older than he. I have heard that it is rarely questioned when the man is older than the woman, but there is a double standard when the woman is older than the man. I would hope that the answer "Age has not been a problem" in our relationship. Is there any more insight? We are going through the embassy in Cuidad Juarez, Mexico. I suppose there may be extra focus because of the concern of illegal immigration across the border/immigration under false pretenses. ... as a side, my fiance and I have been together for 1 year, 10 months. We have been together in his country 9 times, including the time we met.
