  1. Hi all, Quick question, if anyone knows. My oldest kiddo took her oath yesterday, and tomorrow is actually a really good time for her to update her status at our local SSA office and DMV. The packet she received at the ceremony recommends waiting 7-10 days to do so, but I don't recall waiting when I naturalized. Anyone has any thoughts to share on this? We're in Georgia, if that makes a difference. She'll do the passport after but there's no rush on that. Thanks!!
  2. Just to update: she passed the test, and took her Oath just about an hour later! 😄
  3. Thanks, all. She has been studying a lot for the test, reviewing the 100 questions essentially every day. Her English is nearly flawless so we're not at all concerned on that level.
  4. Hi everyone, My kid has the citizenship test coming up in a few days. It's been a few years since I took mine and I honestly do not remember what the Questions part of it looks like. Can anyone remind me? Is it Multiple Choice or do you have to provide an answer? Touch screen or verbal answer? Thank you so much!
  5. Her greencard was issued in September of 2017 so we're good on that front.
  6. I naturalized based on second marriage to a US Citizen who is not my daughter's father. There is, yes.
  7. Hello everyone, My oldest daughter wants to file for Citizenship under the 5yrs rule. She was over 18 when I naturalized (darn Covid delaying everything) and her 5 yr eligibility is finally here. We tried filing online but ran into two issues: A) In Part 6, where it asks if parents were married before the 18th birthday, is this referring to "at the time of turning 18" or is it "at any point in time before turning 18"? Her father and I were married at the time of her birth, but divorced later. B) Still in Part 6, where it asks if the mother is a US Citizen, we said Yes because I am now, but then were not able to fill out the section on my name, date of citizenship, etc. Any help on these would be appreciated. Thank you!
