So I guess I'll be out of status again

Please, step back, count to 100. Think about what you have been told by other people on the site that have been mostly in agreement. Please do not react so quickly to a new question as if you have been doomed to return to your country. You haven't. Also please be careful about how you answer some of the questions posed here. You should not want to be misunderstood.

I'm not going to do anything stupid .., I'm more intelligent than that... But it just hurts but it's part of life ... I'll get over it I never ask for it but graciously she said and push for me to do it, but I guess she had her intentions... I have no family and came a very VERY LONG way.. I've been working since 16 and going to middles school high school and some college and I never depended on anyone... And I'm not about to stoop or lower my level of class for her.. If that's what make her happy by all means its Kool ... KARMA IS A ######.... I stop her from working .. She was a bartender and I did any and everything thing to the maxx but I guess NICE GUYS FINISH LAST!!! And THAT'S ME!!! It hurts but tomorrow is another day... I'm in a bar having me a nice cold beer and some shots,, for that's something's she Stop me from doing but.NO LONGER CAN

Hang in there and be safe. You'll get through this and be better off when you do.

Good. I know how painful this is, but you're doing the right thing. Has she been served yet, do you know?

I have a feeling she might freak out when she gets served with the papers and she realizes you're not going to pay her. Hang in there.

So she got served today because she called and left me a voicemail of how can I do that... And also I saw her at grocery store but she didn't see me, and she looks as if she got beaten.. And I think by her X.... She always told me he was abusive that's why they broke up, but yet she left me and went back... Maybe she likes the beaten /whopping ..

Not playing game, my lawyer got the index number and sent his associates to serve her today

I'm paying to have this done as quick as possible

And paying to have it done with out her consent, I'm not the lawyer but I'm going by what they say and she called me a couple of hrs ago and left a v-mail saying she got served

Why are you playing games with ppl on this board, if you file yesterday for a div, there was no way she was served today.

Ummm... yes it's entirely possible. People get served the same day as filing sometimes.

Do NOT let ONE "ready, fire, aim" poster chase you away. You sound sincere, and many of us are interested in how things turn out. :)

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
