I arrived at LAX on a BIG flight with lots of people so I was quite happy to stand in the US citizen line, which was significantly shorter :P
When I arrived in the line I pulled my envelope out of my carry on (HAS to be with you) and grabbed my passport. The gentleman I dealt with was very nice. He opened my envelope and I passed him my passport open at the visa page.
He had a quick read through everything, asked me about my medical (he couldn't find it) and I showed him where it was (by pointing, couldn't actually TOUCH the paper) and he told me I had the "all clear" (I knew obviously but it was still good to SEE it :P). He then stamped something and told me I had till Dec 11 2009 to marry or leave. He then stamped my passport and wrote the same date, and scribbled on my visa to "void" it. He also pointed out my Alien Number which I needed "for always" so I needed to note that. That was also in my passport so I will write it down somewhere safe and make sure my family and my FH has the number "just in case".
He didn't really ask too many questions. He might have asked when the wedding was but mostly because I was "pre-approved" and I didn't look dodgy I was just waved through. From standing in line to leaving the desk it was less than 10 minutes. |

Short review:
It was a short (1/2 hour maybe), simple and low-stress ceremony. We said the Oath and the Pledge of Allegiance and sung the star spangled banner (not necessarily in that order).
We had a welcome video from the president and listened to the song "Proud to be an American".
It was a good day. Glad to be done |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
