06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

December 15, 2013: I-751 mailed to USCIS

June 9, 2014: ROC Approved per I-797C received 6-13-2014

June 17, 2014: New 10-yr Green Card in hand!

March 31, 2017: N-400 Received by USCIS per I-797C
April 27, 2017:  Biometrics completed
September 23, 2017:  Received I-797C for interview!

October 24, 2017:  Interview, passed all tests but "decision cannot yet be made"

October 30, 2017:  Received email that Oath ceremony has been scheduled, letter to follow with date and other info. 

                                  USCIS case status updated w/same message as email.

November 2, 2017:  Oath ceremony letter received scheduled for Nov. 7, 2017.

November 7, 2017:  Oath Ceremony, Certificate of U.S. Naturalization in hand!!!

Thank God, it ended very well, you should try gather a lot of evidence for your AOS. I had my AOS interview on Tuesday, the interviewer asked us so many questions and she seems kinda strange, didn't even smile at us. while she repeated most question which I think she was trying to see if we would give her a different response, we had a lot of supporting document, credit cards, debit cards, bank statement, pictures, photobook, wedding IV, both family at our wedding, a lot of friends, of about 30 present at our wedding with pictures, utility bills, lease, rent-a-center receipts, SSN cards, family phone plan, IDs, in our new names, dental plans, medical plans, and besides we having a baby soon, The strange questions could be due to our interracial marriage.

I'm kinda nervous now though. My fiance will have to interview in Karachi. We are both Muslim though so do you think that would make a difference? Or are most interviews like this? I went to visit him and his family in Pakistan. I just hope he doesn't have an interview like this :/

This is the best interview review ever. Those officers should be fired.

No they should not. They were doing their job....and it was correct what they did. fraud is a big problem!!

This was one of the best reviews on Embassy Interview that I've read on here...very detailed. I am sure this will help other beneficiaries in Pakistan (or any other high-fraud embassy, for that matter). Thanks for being so detailed about the interview with your fiance'. Once God has a plan for your life, no man on earth can interfere that. You both came together as a result of His plan for your lives together. I met my husband on Christian Mingle, when we were both looking at other members. I was very skeptic about the relationship going anywhere, so I went to God about it, and He told me one morning, while in devotion that He has given me His best. Since then, no matter what obstacle presents itself before us, we are confident that God is in the midst of our journey together as a couple.

I am so happy for you both, and pray that His blessings will continue to guide you in your ministry together.

May 13, 2015: Interview Date APPROVED :dancing:

May 19, 2015: Received Package

Oct. 22, 2015: Travelled to my new home :) (In order to get IR-1 Green Card) Expiration date on IR-1/CR-1 Visa - Oct. 29, 2015

Nov 10, 2015: Received Social Security Card

Jan 4, 2016: LPR Green Card arrived.

Darnell, I wish I had known to ask you! And you're totally right - they were attempting to force the Muslim standards on her. But even Christians in Pakistan for the most part go with the arranged marriage customs. So... it was unusual either way. She's blessed to have parents who normally follow the marriage customs but are willing to be a little more Western in their outlook as well. Their other children had traditional marriages, but they were very open to doing things differently in this case!

In Indonesian culture, it won't allow man and woman living together before they both married. It is not about religion thing. It is more about culture. It is a shame if society found out couple without being married living together or having baby out of wedlock. In some areas in Indonesia, they would punish them regardless what kind of religion they have.

Pakistan is one of the hardest embassy's, unfortunately they were doing what they were employed to do. Given all the red flags, I am relieved to see you made it through, especially with NO AP, that's almost unheard of. Congrats!

what if someone's fiance is of a meeker disposition and cannot handle it and then is rejected? Will that be fair too?
