  1. You can also use copies of those papers you get when you file your taxes along with your W2. This what I used.
  2. Going on vacation together is good evidence and going abroad provides you with even more strong evidence since you both get boarding passes, passport stamps, etc. One of the questions my fiance got asked during the pre-interview was if we had traveled together abroad. You're right, you might not need it but it'll make your case stronger.
  3. I once heard a story that a crack head got 10 grant to marry someone. She then refused to consummate the marriage so he beat her and she ended up getting her green card because of it and he had to spend the 10 grant in legal fees.
  4. My fiance's mom had lost all of my fiance's vaccine records so she just took all of the vaccines again. No big deal when it comes to money as they were a lot cheaper than in the US. Also they checked her antibodies for chicken pox which showed that her antibodies were low so she had to take the vaccine. However when we looked at the prices we concluded that it would've been better to just take the vaccine right the way, so it is something for you to keep in mind, if they offer an antibody test just say you want the vaccine.
  5. I think you'll be fine as the only requirement is to have met at least once within two years at the moment of the application. If you happen to get an RFE, be sure to include additional evidence of your ongoing relationship, things like boarding passes, pictures and copies of every single page on your passport as well as of hers. Since you're going there this year maybe you should consider going abroad with her on a trip, just be sure to save the boarding passes. Regarding the RFE, sometimes you can do everything you were supposed to and still get one. I got one because they lost my passport picture so I sent them 3 pictures inside of a ziplock bag plus the extra evidence.
  6. I remember reading somewhere that it takes longer to get the parole approved than it takes to get the green card. I might be mistaken or made things have changed.
  7. My fiance got approved today and this what I gave them. Bank statements from the last 6 motnhs Tax returns from 2022 with all the other related documents W2, etc We also had a co sponsor Our co sponsor 2021 tax return and related documents. She hadn't filed her 2022 tax return yet so she included her 2022 W2. A copy of her passport and a copy of her marriage certificate because she still had her old name in her passport. Both forms were signed in wet blue ink.
  8. We had the interview today. They asked me more questions than they asked her. She answered a couple questions wrong but they didn't seem to care. She got approved. Hopefully she'll get the passport back soon. we are planning a trip before we move to the US. Total days from NOA1 to interview: 588 days Total days from NOA2 to Interview: 120 days
  9. Every embassy is different https://vn.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/required-documents/
  10. I found out that I need the NVC invoice number to upload the documents to the CEAC website or the embassy will reject us on interview day. However NVC never sent us the number. I went through everything and I can't find it. So I sent an inquiry to the NVC. Hopefully they'll respond with the number on time.
  11. Also once you get RFE you can send them extra evidence of your ongoing relationship. This is what I did and also a former USCIS officer has reported on this forum that it helps your case.
  12. Your best bet is to contact them Tel: 509 2812-2929 (Haiti) 1-703-544-7842 (U.S.A) Email: support-Haiti@ustraveldocs.com
  13. You can always fill it out together remotely. Windows comes with a remote assistant app. Just click on the start button and type "Quick Assist" without the quotations to launch the program.
  14. So we managed to schedule the interview for March 31st and the medical for March 17th. I think it'll give us enough time to gather all of the documents. I'm thinking about bringing the last 6 months of my banks statements plus my W-2s from 2021 and 2022 and also a co-sponsor, I think it should be enough.
  15. We received a notification that the embassy sent us the packet, however they sent it to Bien Hoa instead of our apartment. When I first filled for the k1 she was living in Bien Hoa so I put that address on the application, however when we registered on the https://atlas.my.salesforce-sites.com/SiteLogin?country=Vietnam&language=en_US website, we used our address in HCMC, they were supposed to use this address to send us the packet. Now we are going to have to go Bien Hoa tomorrow just to pick this up.
  16. First the embassy receives the case digitally and it changes to ready, then it receives the physical case right ? I'm asking because I noticed that my case changed to ready on the 16th, and it kept saying the last update was on the 16th until it changed to saying that the was update was on the 23rd. The status never changed, only the last update date. I think this is what went on; on the 16th they received it digitally and on the 23rd physically. I'm hoping to get the packet next week so I can finally schedule an interview.
  17. Can't you report the passport as stolen to the police and get anew one ? It looks like the embassy lost your passport. At this point I guess your only option is to marry in Turkey. Maybe your fiance can FOIA them to get more info as to why your denied and what really happened to your passport.
  18. Does anybody know if the embassy requires the documents like birth certificate, police clearance, etc, to be translated ? There is not mention about translation on the website.
  19. We finished the DS-160 and registered with the embassy. Now we have to wait for the letter to schedule the appointment and pay for the visa.
  20. My embassy requires that they send us the packet first. K visa applicants should not schedule their appointment until after they have received an Instruction Package Letter (Packet 3 K) from the U.S. Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City. https://vn.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/
  21. I got a notification that they sent my case to the embassy today. The case was created on February 1st and transferred on the 14th so it took them about two weeks. It looks like they are speeding this up. Hopefully they'll receive and process it next week.
