  1. Received this noticed yesterday, December 7th. Post date was December 1st and the status didn't change on the website until the 6th. I guess the I-765 and the I-131 got approved together but the I-131 still says pending.
  2. My wife just had her employment authorization card approved yesterday December 6th. Just shy of two months after her biometrics.
  3. My wife had the same problem. She went to the SSA and they told her that she first needs her EAD before she can make the change. We are in Massachusetts.
  4. It depends on where you live https://www.uscis.gov/uscis-lockbox-filing-locations-chart-for-certain-family-based-forms
  5. Congratulations, but I think you belong in this post instead. My wife just had her Biometrics done today, hopefully she'll get her employment authorization card soon.
  6. I didn't send my tax returns from last year because I hadn't made enough money, I ended up sending my bank statements along with the tax return and transcript. I'm still waiting for them to acknowledge that they received my RFE.
  7. You should've been eligible t get a SSN with just your K1. You can also get it with just EAD. My wife got hers with just the K1 and I've met people that got it with the EAD
  8. Biometrics scheduled for 10/05/2023 I noticed that they still haven't received the RFE I sent.
  9. You no longer need to prove legal status to get a driver's license in Massachusetts. You won't be able to get a real ID though. https://www.boston.com/news/local-news/2023/07/04/undocumented-immigrants-drivers-license-massachusetts-application-process/
  10. You'll have to apply to remove condition on the green card 3 months before its expiration, so you'll be dealing with immigration again on June 2025
  11. Not as long as you got married before the expiration date. If you got married after the deadline you'll need to file I-130 I believe.
  12. I received a request for initial information. I didn't send a copy of my tax returns because I didn't make enough money last year but I had started a new job so I sent the letter of employment along with pay studs, but I guess it wasn't enough.
  13. Yes yes So it doesn't apply to your spouse. Check the guide : https://www.visajourney.com/guides/adjustment-of-status-k1-k3-visas/ And here are some examples but don't use these forms as they are expired, use the one downloaded from the USCIS website https://www.visajourney.com/forms/examples/
  14. August 10th - Sent the application August 15th - Application received August 15th - Case Created August 18th - Notice Date August 26th - Received the confirmation letter I guess now we have to wait to have the fingerprints scheduled.
  15. It is this page: https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx You use "Non-immigrant visa" to track with the DS-160 number which is faster. To track with the NVC number you choose "Immigrant Visa" but it takes longer to get the result. They both give you the same answer.
  16. We got the visa today 13 days after interview. Our POE will be in San Francisco. I've never entered the US through San Francisco before. Hopefully they're cool :)
  17. Are you a Viet Kieu ? I've heard that they usually give Viet Kieu a hard time on K1 due to a lot of fraud that took place like uncles marrying their nieces. I see that they're asking you for a family relationship form. What is the status on your https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx ? I think the only thing you can really do right now is gather all of the documents and make an appointment to have them dropped off. Did you get interviewed by an young officer with a tattoo on his right arm ? He was the guy that interviewed us and he was indeed very friendly.
  18. It's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. It might be hard for you to get a CORI when outside of the US though.
  19. @LA1234 Sorry I don't know. --------------------------------------------------------------- It changed to Issued today . I hope to get the passport back tomorrow so I can buy the plane tickets. I'm planning a vacation before we move to the US.
  20. It is a very good idea to be present for the interview at embassies with a high fraud rate like Vietnam. Sometimes hey even ask you to prove that you're not blood related to the beneficiary. Also I've been living here since May waiting for this interview because I wanted to be with her, unfortunately it took way more time than I was hoping but less time than I came prepared for so it is ok. I went to to the windows with her and I was never told to sit down. They asked her the name of the company I worked for in the US, what I did there and where it was. She mispronounced the name of the company, and said the name of the town I lived in instead of the name of the town where I worked at. She had brought tons of pictures but they didn't look at any.
  21. It changed today to approved :). Hopefully it'll changes to "issued" on Monday.
  22. Strange, my case went from "Ready" to "Application Received". I thought the next step was "Administrative processing"
