Received this noticed yesterday, December 7th. Post date was December 1st and the status didn't change on the website until the 6th. I guess the I-765 and the I-131 got approved together but the I-131 still says pending.

My wife just had her employment authorization card approved yesterday December 6th. Just shy of two months after her biometrics.

My wife had the same problem. She went to the SSA and they told her that she first needs her EAD before she can make the change. We are in Massachusetts.

Was the I-131 approved ?

I didn't send my tax returns from last year because I hadn't made enough money, I ended up sending my bank statements along with the tax return and transcript. I'm still waiting for them to acknowledge that they received my RFE.

You should've been eligible t get a SSN with just your K1. You can also get it with just EAD. My wife got hers with just the K1 and I've met people that got it with the EAD

You'll have to apply to remove condition on the green card 3 months before its expiration, so you'll be dealing with immigration again on June 2025

Not as long as you got married before the expiration date. If you got married after the deadline you'll need to file I-130 I believe.

We got the visa today 13 days after interview. Our POE will be in San Francisco. I've never entered the US through San Francisco before. Hopefully they're cool :)

Are you a Viet Kieu ? I've heard that they usually give Viet Kieu a hard time on K1 due to a lot of fraud that took place like uncles marrying their nieces. I think the only thing you can really do right now is gather all of the documents and make an appointment to have them dropped off. Did you get interviewed by an young officer with a tattoo on his right arm ? He was the guy that interviewed us and he was indeed very friendly.

It's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. It might be hard for you to get a CORI when outside of the US though.

It is a very good idea to be present for the interview at embassies with a high fraud rate like Vietnam. Sometimes hey even ask you to prove that you're not blood related to the beneficiary. Also I've been living here since May waiting for this interview because I wanted to be with her, unfortunately it took way more time than I was hoping but less time than I came prepared for so it is ok. I went to to the windows with her and I was never told to sit down. They asked her the name of the company I worked for in the US, what I did there and where it was. She mispronounced the name of the company, and said the name of the town I lived in instead of the name of the town where I worked at. She had brought tons of pictures but they didn't look at any.

It changed today to approved :). Hopefully it'll changes to "issued" on Monday.

Strange, my case went from "Ready" to "Application Received". I thought the next step was "Administrative processing"
