OldUser got a reaction from kochtitude in Filed I-751 jointly, but broke up, remained married, got RFE. What to do?
You're replying to a zombie thread. Don't expect to hear anything from the user, who was was last logged in 2019.
Just a lease is not awlays enough to prove cohabitation. Financial comingling, shared bills responsibility and other evidence may help.
USCIS may not know for sure whether you live together or don't. That's the whole point of RFE.

OldUser reacted to Crazy Cat in i-90 waiting approval but i got a reminder to file i-751
Personally, I would not file the I-751. They won't refund your fee. Others might disagree.

That's a transfer of your I-751 case from service center to field office.

OldUser got a reaction from Oscariom bun in ROC filler October 2022
@Oscariom bun you can travel no problem.
You can apply for citizenship as soon as you are eligible. You should only apply within the US even if you do the online N-400 form.

OldUser reacted to Zaka91 in November 2022 I-751 Filers
To anyone considering it, I would highly recommend against sending payment with a credit card via G-1450. Sent packet on 11/2, received/picked up from lockbox on 11/4. Had opted to pay with credit card via G-1450 so I could at least get some miles out of it, of course I didn't read anything about cards randomly being declined for no reason until after I had sent the packet out. Started to get nervous after not seeing a credit card charge after a few days. Entire packet showed back up in my mailbox on 11/14, was mailed by USCIS on 11/9. Came with a notice stating that the application was denied because of the credit card being denied as well as a green denial sheet that they said to put on top when I resubmit. Paperwork was all out of order, tabs for each document had been removed, pages had been labeled with a bunch of random numbers at the bottom of each page and the entire packet was stappled with the thickest staple I've ever seen.
Didn't really have instructions on how to send it back really, so I removed the staple, put documents back in the order stated on the cover sheet, updated the cover sheet to note that this was a resubmission and had a check instead of G-1450, and put the green denial sheet on top. Didn't bother doing tabs again. Overnighted packet back to the lockbox the same day and was received and picked up on 11/15.
My question now is, was it okay to un-staple everything and re- organize? Also, how long does it usually take them to cash a check? Haven't seen anything from my bank yet. Hoping I get confirmation before 11/24 when my wife's green card expires. Can't wait till she gets her citizenship eventually and we don't have to deal with all of this anymore. Just not knowing what's going on stresses me out so much.

OldUser reacted to Wuozopo in Flights to USA after approval
1. We did that and most others do too. Be sure to cancel your return. You can also try different dates and times for the return portion. You might lower your round trip cost based on the return leg you pick.
2. The line you use depends on the airport. As you enter the immigration hall, ask an attendant if you can go through together and which line. We were directed to the US resident line. Be sure to mention you need your immigrant visa processed.

OldUser got a reaction from Chancy in USCIS said my marriage certificate doesn’t look real and it’s altered [merged threads]
That's exactly what alteration is.
Get a new marriage certificate with all the correct spellings.

OldUser reacted to aznhouston in Processing Updates (I-751) for SRC (Texas Service Center)
2022 both cases, I don't know when they submitted it, I can only see the latest update of the cases as it's the only public data available for scraping. You should compare the number of your case against theirs to know where you are in the line.

What about his mother?
It will be the I 130

OldUser reacted to Shark777 in Passport "Ready For Pickup" but chose delivery
It turns out the status was an error. So if this happens to other people, don't worry, just call the consulate. It might be an error for you as well.

OldUser reacted to Crazy Cat in Health treatment
A US citizen is not limited to time outside the US. Just maintain evidence to show domicile in the US.

OldUser reacted to Marieke H in N-400 form - Part 5. Information about residence
If you want to avoid having to include the messy period of time where you stayed in hotels, AirBnB, etc, which does not fully align with the addresses USCIS has on file for you, you can file the N-400 5 years after this date when you moved to your permanent address. You only need to include 5 years of residence history, so you can then omit the month or so before you moved to your permanent address.

OldUser reacted to NorthByNorthwest in N-400 form - Part 5. Information about residence
The 5 years mean 5 years since becoming a permanent resident, the time in the US before getting LPR does not matter.

I know of no legal ways to accomplish what you want.
You should have attended to N-600K upon the birth of each child.

OldUser got a reaction from Chancy in Marital Status Changed
Yes, make sure to let the USCIS IO know about the change in your marital status. You can probably do it on your interview. Make sure to bring your marriage certificate to the interview. Otherwise your naturalization may be neutralized.

OldUser got a reaction from Chancy in N 400 Online
Hi @Amcarica29 it's not the service center, but field office who adjucates N-400. Ideally, your I-751 should be sent to the field office based on where you live, and a combo interview would be conducted.

OldUser got a reaction from Chancy in N-400 for LPR wife and stepchildren
Beware it may take a while (months) for it to be processed. I don't know whether international travelling would be advisable with that card. If travel is needed, try getting a I-551 stamp in child's passport.
You don't have to send the original card with I-90, as far as I know. Make sure to keep the copies of all Green Cards just in case also.
You shouldn't have to pay the fee for replacement if it wasn't your mistake.
