Boy333 reacted to Mike E in Stolen I-751 Receipt Notice While Abroad
They should file I-90 before doing so and yes. As I’ve linked.

Boy333 reacted to Mike E in Do I travel on my 2-year green card or the extension paper?
File I-751. Receive a 2 year extension letter. Pack the 2 year extension letter in your carry on bag for your trip whether your gc has expired or not.
When you return to the USA, present your gc to the airline (which must not be Delta, Spirit, or Turkish) and CBP. If your gc has expired, present your extension letter to the airline and to CBP as well. CBP might ask for your extension letter regardless whether you gc has expired.
Our experience:
* filed I-751 in October 2021
* went on two cruises in November and December 2021. Carried extension letter. Was not asked. December was at Miami cruise port which uses facial recognition and doesn’t check documents.
* Took a cruise on a Friday in January, 2 days before the gc expired. As the gc was due to expire during the cruise, presented the extension letter. Front line personnel had no clue. Second line personnel had no clue. After an hour we got to third line personnel who had a clue. Upon return, CBP didn’t look at the extension letter.
* February 2022, flew to Cancun. Front line and second line airline employees clueless. Third line had a clue and we were checked in. At the departure gate we go through the same drama. Upon arrival in Mexico the federal border officer accepted the extension letter and gc. On the return, first line airline employee had a clue. Upon arrival, CBP asked for extension letter and verified the case status online before admitting us
* July 2022 flight to Canada. Nightmarish checkin because airline refused to check us in without using their kiosk. 3rd line airline employee let us check in. Return from Canada was a breeze and CBP verified case status on extension letter.
God I hate extension letters and for that matter green cards. I had a green card over 30 years. Never a problem flying with a gc, a Canadian passport, and white skin. My wife with her gc, Burmese passport, and golden skin has a much different experience. Airlines are among the most racist entities I’ve seen. Hopefully by March 1 her travel nightmares end with a U.S. passport in hand.

Boy333 reacted to Mike E in University/college classes with k1 visa
Those of us who are K-1s or spouses of K-1s consider ourselves to be in a special community. 😂

Boy333 reacted to nastra30 in I just got to America and my wife threatened to revoke my greencard
Fortunately for op he has made it to America and knowing Nigerians because I roll with a lot of them; he won't be homeless for long, lol. Despite the bad image Nigerians get around the world, they are some of the hardworking and ambitious folks in the world. Nigerian immigrants are the most educated immigrants in the US; go figure. The pressing thing for op is to divorce and move on with his life, and if chooses to live that life in the US, at least he will have that option.

Boy333 reacted to Mike E in Spouse, 2 step kids and our child
After the action is complete, you will be able to file for their US passports / N-600.
Alternatively once she becomes a citizen, she can file for their passports / N-600s provided she becomes a citizen before they reach age 18.
How did you naturalize without living in the USA for 5 continuous years?
The standard for passing US citizenship to your daughter is 5 years (call it 5 * 366 = 1,830 days) of physical presence in the USA before she was born.
1. Were you in the USA on a non immigrant status before you got your green card?
2. If so how any years?
3. How many years did you have your green card?
4. what percentage of the time as a green card holder were you in the USA?

Boy333 reacted to carmel34 in Moving my Fiance to America
Also be prepared to go and visit him in Nigeria with the new baby, if he cannot get a tourist visa. The wait for a B in Lagos is a very long time, and there is a good chance that it will be denied at the interview because he has obvious immigrant intent with an American girlfriend. Good luck!

Boy333 reacted to Dashinka in k1 visa - need to leave ASAP after the wedding
This being the case, your Option 1 of a spousal visa is the right path right now. Overall, the cost will be similar to the AOS. You can still use your K1 to come to the US and get married, but don't waste the $1225 for the AOS, but instead file the I130 ($535) and start the spousal visa process.
Good Luck!

Boy333 reacted to Chancy in Awaiting AOS decision, want to bring kids to US
Thanks for the info. Different visa types for your children --
Your younger child qualifies as an immediate relative (stepchild) of your USC spouse. Your spouse may file a separate I-130 petition for him now, to start the immigration process. No need to wait for your AOS approval. After the petition for your son is approved, he can immediately proceed with IR2 visa application. Your eldest does not qualify for IR2 because he was already 19 when you married your USC spouse. You will have to wait after your AOS is approved before you can start the immigration process for your eldest. Once you become a permanent resident, you may file an I-130 petition. The visa category will probably be F2B, unmarried child (21 years or older) of LPR. He will need to wait around 7 years from petition filing date before he can proceed with F2B visa application. -

Boy333 reacted to Rocio0010 in Divorce during i751 Pending
Steps:
1) divorce (I’m pretty sure he doesn’t need to agree)
2) wait for the divorce decree
3) switch to a divorce waiver
4) screw with society and what people think.
5) celebrate your new life

Boy333 reacted to banu2019 in Really nervous about the interview tomorrow ☹️ if anyone wants to share their experience, it'll help a lot.
We are approved. I'm crying as I type this. We waited so long for this, so many months of waiting, so many months of anxiety, it's all come to a sweet end.
The interview went really well as everyone commented.it was very simple. Thank you each and everyone of you who replied to this post. Your words meant a lot to me. Thank you once again.

Boy333 reacted to Ben&Zian in Career after military
While some here are giving you advice and all, let me say from personal experience. Served 6 years, active duty Army, 3 deployments, 2 OIF's and one OEF for half of my six years enlisted. I never completed any degree plan or anything, did not have the luxury of some in the military to go to school during my service, but when I got out went through a job placement agency for former military and I have since day one with this company, for some 7 1/2 years almost, made more than most with a 4 year degree. I work and travel internationally (am in Argentina right now in fact); but I am starting schooling again next month online for a BA then hopefully Masters as long as my GI lasts then just finance it myself.
So when people ask "What's your education like"? Don't think you're doomed or have to settle for less. Experience and all matters a lot to some companies. I had several turn me down for saying "I can read and instruction manual 100 times; but I will learn more in 1 hour hands on" some like it, some don't...
Just keep looking and trying.

Boy333 reacted to Scandi in Case was rejected? Help please
This message means that they believe you sent an extra payment that wasn't needed, so they simply returned it to you. I don't see anywhere in your post that any of the petitions were actually rejected (only the extra payment was rejected, that's why you don't see on the notice which form/petition was rejected, as none was rejected).
Just like the notice says, there's nothing else you need to do, all three petitions were accepted. If one or more petitions/forms were actually rejected, the notice would tell you to refile - that's not necessary in your case since nothing was rejected (other than the extra payment). So you're all good. "No additional action by you is required".
Sometimes mail get lost or delayed, which is likely the case with your missing NOA1. The NOA1 is not important but you can request for them to send you a new one if it still hasn't showed up after 30 days.

Boy333 reacted to Puneetashley in 5 year ban
5 year ban is big thing. People who get 5 year ban mostly who worked in usa while having tourist visa or other big things. There is no way they give 5 year ban just because she was lying. I see so many people get refused entry if they have spouse ,fiance or boyfriend. Is there something else too you want to share with us.

Boy333 reacted to Crazy Cat in Age gap... Will there be an issue at the interview for our Spouse Visa?
You asked for our opinions. Whether you like it or not, the Consulate Officer can and WILL ask a lot of questions when a case has these red flags. The Consulate Officer is very familiar with what is normal in your culture. Our goal here is to constructively help prepare you for that questioning. It seems you just do not like the questions or our answers. There will be more pressure when you are sitting in the Consulate Officer's office. You aren't the first member to come here with a number of red flags.. We didn't just pull our concerns out of thin air, and we have seen men like you denied as they were unprepared. You received advice concerning the evidence you need and the questions you might be asked. You have to decide to either accept or reject it.
