    If you have no pending case right now, I suggest that you file it now. Just type FOIA request USCIS and it will land you to the correct site. 7 weeks ish for the result. Request complete A-file. And later like OP, once you are done done, u can do bonfire with the hard copy and keep the pdf file in the cloud

    easy fix....FOIA request ! i just received mine. only 780 pages hah ! what else do you need? A file covered everything. it even go back to my DS-160 from 2005. unfortunately all my records from 1992-2004 arent digitize so FOIA request didnt do anything on that particular years.

    One is the past 5 years ( inside and outside US doesn’t matter as long as it’s within the past 5 years ) the other one is the last job she had outside US.

    thanks @Chancy so just to be clear, even if the child entered US before 2 years mark, that child still get 10 years GC?

    Biological mom went for AOS to USC and got the Conditional GC in February 2023. 2 years marriage anniversary will be in February 2024. the child is doing consular processing and will have the interview in about 2 months. if the child entered US after February 2024, will the child receive 2 years GC ( follow the mom) or 10 years GC ?

    for name, leave it empty if she never have other name if you have no providence, leave it blank u can use N/A if you want as long not on name

    dont let me start with : once u apply for n-400 u cant never ever leave the US until you get ur citizenship. mind you not everyone from SE asia can / speak / read english quite well and they listened more from their friends and it began like this " so and so said <insert the context>" i know its only an opinion, but myths are hard to die unfortunately

    lol...i always used my "me no speak english" or " english is not my first language" BS when it happened. i always get away with it ha ha ha. but yeah, i guess it really depend on the officer. one time i even gave my passport together with the GC, and the officer immediately return my passport and said " i dont need that, just this" while waving on my GC. im on the waiting list for nexus approval. once it got approved, i can use global service kiosk too. less human interaction the better

    i came from south asean country and i completely understand OP's concern. many many people in SE asia adamant that "sponsorship" is the key for approval of B1/B2 visa and not strong ties to home country. it also doesnt help because of the currency exchange, the income in SE asia tend to be lower than US standard. no matter how many times i told them, they still think "sponsorship" is they key factor for approval. OP like other said : showing strong ties to the home country is the key for successful visa approval. there's no sponsorship visa for B1/B2 visa like some other foreign country requirement

    not country specific, it applies to all. many many GC holder in the same situation like yours and they are from all around the world ( passport = maiden, GC - married) always book ur flight ticket with the name listed on the passport. all airline adopt the same rule. US- Brazil check in : show Brazil passport from Brazil - US check in : show passport and GC. if airline staff ask about name discrepancy : show marriage certificate. landing : show GC, if CBP ask for passport ( they rarely ask), show ur brazil passport

    If doe is her real last name then put doe as surname. B1/B2 doesn’t recognize first name only. Many people I know who has 1 name end up getting FNU ( first name unknown ) as their given name and their real given name as last name. my suggestion is : put doe as her Last name on the form to avoid that FNU apart on the EAD or GC. She need a last name by American standard

    Did u pay file tax for the past 3 years ? 2020-2021 ? I know you mentioned about 2022.
