  1. Not to petition them at the moment, because they don't want to live longer here. Just a plain visit. They have a lot of ties in the Philippines, especially work. I guess this time without mentioning the support, they will have to answer the interview questions with convincing evidence that they will come back to the Philippines. The property they owned, the work, the other grandkids, I just hope they able to answer very well. Glad I asked and know this ahead of time.
  2. It's getting worrying because I thought it will be a big help as to finances. My mom is only a housewife and my dad doesn't earn much but they have strong ties to the home country. If they ask about who will support, they will probably say it will be us who will shoulder all the cost for the trip. But I hope they can support each other and answer all questions to prove they will come back to the Philippines.
  3. I believe it's support. Like who will support the expenses, cover the trip etc. I went over the form and I didn't realize they called it a declaration of support now for form i-134, when I applied 5 years ago, it was called an affidavit of support.
  4. Applying for a tourist visa only. We sent them an invitation letter and form i-134. I guess that's called a Declaration of Support instead than affidavit. Do they still be asked for bank statement to show that we send them money on a regular monthly basis or not necessary?
  5. My parents tourist visa is closer to their date interview. Last minute check on the documents and since we will sponsor their trip, expenses and all, my husband is the main sponsor on the affidavit of support form since he is a US citizen, do you think the consular will still look for bank statements that we send money to my parents on a monthly basis as we declared on the form i-134 during the interview? (Income contribution to the beneficiary annually) Thanks for any advice you can give.
  6. My parents from the Philippines are about to get their visa interview for Tourist visa /B2 nonimmigrant visa. I just wanted to make sure, they don't need any medical exam, correct? I don't see it as requirements in the visa section but I just wanted to double check. Thank you
  7. So, they go there as is and when incase the consulate will ask them about where we live in the US they can consider correcting that on the spot? That is such a relief! Thank you
  8. Hello, I need some advise please. This is way harder than it used to be. So my parents visa interview appointment was rescheduled 3 times due to pandemic, I applied them on September of 2020 in the Philippines and now the 3rd one is coming up (and last one) and a lot had happen between those times. We've moved to a different state and I knew that the DS-160 form submitted had our previous US contact info especially the location - i don't know what to do - did anyone had similar situation that made it to the interview? Will there be a chance to update the form? Please advise. Much appreciated.
  9. Hi, I am just wondering if anyone knows here. So We moved back from Dallas, TX to North Carolina early this year and I updated my address to the uscis website about my change of address. I wonder where my Case Service Center this time. I filled my removing of condition last year Oct 2021 for my residency and I got the extension letter as well a week after. I'ts been a year since I filed and that was in Texas Service center. Anyone have any idea for east side of the US which service center ? I keep calling USCIS customer support and I get no luck for real person to answer.
  10. I am about to file Removal of Condition for my green card and now gathering lots of supporting documents. I am including my child's birth certificate. Do we need to submit original birth certificate of our child or just a photocopy? The instruction didn't say original but we wanna make sure we submit the right document (copy or original), should we also provide again our marriage certificate? If so, is it original or its okay if copy? I appreciate your response, if any. Thanks
