  1. Zombie thread closed. Please start a new thread to ask questions.
  2. Another tip is not to volunteer any information that is not asked. Just answer questions truthfully and keep it brief and to the point and only answer what is asked without giving any unnecessary extra information.
  3. *** Topic moved from CR1 forum to USCIS forum as the question is about the online account issue *** this is completely normal. This happened to me personally during AOS and ROC and others after reading threads here. There is no need to scan and upload the evidence, USCIS has everything despite that you don’t see it on your end.
  4. *** Topic moved from Progress Reports to Process & Procedures ***
  5. Hijack post removed. If you have a question, please start a thread of your own. VJ Moderation
  6. *** Topic moved to Moving to the US & New life in America where similar questions are discussed *** I agree with the authorized user advice. As soon as I was added, my credit score shot up thanks to my husband.
  7. Just to update, it didn’t help. It happens randomly and today it happened maybe 2 minutes apart after clearing cookies.
  8. Three related threads on F1 and AP merged. Please do not start another thread on this topic as that’s considered spamming; keep all further questions and follow ups in this thread only. VJ Moderation
  9. You only need the NOA2 copy. Make sure you don’t send the original This is personal preference but just as an fyi regular photocopy is fine too Do you not have transcripts? They’re much easier to read for USCIS and less pages. That would also eliminate the need for W2s. You’re only required to send the most recent tax return, we only sent the most recent one. It’s up to you of course but if you have entire tax returns that’s gonna be a lot of paperwork I wouldn’t delay filing just because you’re waiting for 2023 tax returns. It’s not required until after April 15 There’s no need for NOA1. Include NOA2 for I-765 too This is personal preference but I included a photocopy of a marriage certificate as a precaution because I changed my name and I wanted USCIS to see that because you never know with them
  10. Duplicate thread removed. Please post only once per query.
  11. Old thread closed. Please don’t resurrect old threads. OP hasn’t logged in since 2022. VJ Moderation
  12. *** Topic moved to USCIS forum as the question is about IOE receipt *** USCIS in-account estimates are pretty useless. This was discussed already here: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/817098-new-ir1-i-130-filing-online-uscis-time-update-infirmation-seems-odd/ here https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/816874-130-approval-times/ And Here: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/815596-myprogress/ I’m sure there are more threads, this is just off the top of a quick search
  13. Related threads on I-601 merged. Please post ALL further questions related to I-601 in this thread only. VJ Moderation
  14. *** Hijack post & reply were split off into their own thread ***
  15. Above post and reply were split from another member’s thread. In the future, please start a thread of your own to ask questions. VJ Moderation
  16. That sounds serious and quite abnormal. It could have an effect but it’s hard to tell without any info I’d definitely try to remember all the details as your wife can be asked about that or at least why you got divorced with your ex spouse
  17. You’re good then. It’s considered a “low risk” consulate
  18. That highly depends on which consulate is in question
  19. You’ll get the code in a separate letter
  20. *** Topic moved from AOS work/tourist/student visas forum to USCIS forum as the question is about setting up an account *** Does your case number start with IOE?
  21. The status updates do not have a meaning, at least not the one you’re looking for. You’re trying to read way too much into it I’m sure the courier service shows “delivered” so that’s your proof. The consulate doesn’t have an obligation to confirm delivery for everything. I would be very careful with bombarding the consulate with emails. I’m sure they will not appreciate that given how many people go through what you’re going through
  22. This is misinformation for any readers coming across this post. Show me one denial of I-130 for marrying in the US, especially when the person has left the US after. @Daphne . is one of many who has married in the US as a tourist and then applied for CR1 abroad And you do not need a permit to marry in the US. This is not the UK where you need a special visa to get married in the UK. Please stop spreading misinformation. OP, your plan is perfectly fine. You can marry as soon as you enter as long as you depart back to your home country and pursue the CR1 visa.
  23. This is incorrect. Thousands of people marry on tourist visas, including destination weddings such as Las Vegas. OP indicated no intent to immigrate - they clearly said they will be returning and pursuing a spousal visa.
  24. It’s fine to list whatever is current, she can update much later at the consulate stage when updating the DS-160. This is if she moves within the same country. If she moves to another country, then the change needs to be made at the NVC stage. She should put closest estimates. It’s important to put effort in completing it as accurately as possible Yes it’s important enough to do that
