My fiancée and I are now here together in Cancun and plan to wait out this craziness for a while.  She seemed to need to show more documents and explain why she wanted to go to Mexico, but maybe just because she is Russian and was flying from Minsk.  She showed the K1 documents and her resident card for Korea and they were satisfied.  Getting from Moscow to Minsk with the border "closed" was interesting, but thankfully uneventful.   YMMV, good luck to everyone.

From what I understand he will have to quarantine once he gets back to the UK, but the problem would be to get back into the US?  Anyone who has been in the UK or Europe in the past 14 days is not permitted to enter the US at the moment.  You mention he is your fiance not spouse, so the immediate family member exemption doesn't apply.  I'm in the UK and want to get out to visit Jessica (USC) this year as our K-1 doesn't look like it's going anywhere anytime soon.  We are thinking of going to Mexico for 2 weeks to get around the 14 days in the UK restriction.  There is a thread here that people are saying that works.

Let us know how that goes, Jess and I are thinking of taking a couple of weeks in Mexico then going back to the US to wait things out together.  Then as soon as things open up in London just pop back for a month or so to do the medical/interview/packing etc.

@NanRob Jessica is here!  She said is was a really easy journey, the flight wasn't full and the food and drinks service was normal. Only thing was wearing masks.  She had to fill in the UK quarantine form before she left, they checked that on landing, but no other questions.  She's now quarantining here with me and I couldn't be happier!   All I can say is book that flight!

I can confirm that I just had my normal, non-emergency, IR-1 interview today and was approved.
The other people all seemed to be there as either spouses or children of USCs.

So routine visa services have resumed for those categories as least, it seems.

@Megan A  Hi, fellow K-1 from the UK here.  We just made a little powerpoint thing with photos of us visiting each other, just one or two photos in each location to show an enduring relationship.  We added a few to show we have met each other's parents, but I don't think that was needed.  Anyway we got our NOA2 all confirmed with little else, no call logs, emails or anything like that.  We are now waiting for London Embassy to start processing again.  I hope that helps on a personal level.

Woof. Nearly thought I missed something seeing a K1 stating they got approved and were leaving in less than a month. I had so many questions until I saw the date.  This post was nearly 4 months ago, dude.

August last year was sadly the last time I saw him. This has all been stressing us out, not to mention to my new line of work means I can't travel at the moment. Here's to hoping something works out soon and we'll all get to be with our future spouses!

A fiancé visa must be issued within four months from the date of approval of the fiancé petition by USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services). If your appointment is later then the validity date, bring a signed and dated letter from your U.S. fiancé(e) stating that you both remain legally free to marry and that you intend to get married within 90 days of your arrival. E-mail or copies are acceptable.

    9 FAM 41.81 N6.2 Validity of a K-1 Petition
    (CT:VISA-2165; 08-21-2014)

An approved K-1 visa petition is valid for a period of four months from the date of USCIS action and may be revalidated by the consular officer any number of times for additional periods of four months from the date of revalidation, provided the officer concludes that the petitioner and the beneficiary remain legally free to marry and continue to intend to marry each other within 90 days after the beneficiary's admission into the United States.

@theballaam96  I'd recommend checking out the "K-1 NOA2 to NVC to Embassy" thread for your month.  April 2020 is here: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/736008-april-2020-k-1-noa2-to-nvc-to-embassy/

Greenbaum has a great PDF in the first post that explains the whole process and how to check up on each stage. Very useful!

Don't feel left out as NOT ONE CASE was shipped out this week since the embassies are still closed and none of reported asking NVC to ship them their cases.

Called the NVC today and they gave us our case/invoice numbers.  They said over the phone that all fiance visas are currently on hold since the embassies are not open for routine visa appointments.  Even though the embassy in Serbia is actually open, they're not doing any routine visa paperwork yet.

They said that normally, NVC paperwork is sent twice a month, but since we're in unusual circumstances, they've had a pile of visas sitting in a stack since February.  However, once an embassy opens and they are ready to process visas, those cases are pulled from the stack and sent out.  The guy at the NVC said that I would get an email when that happens, but nothing else can happen until that email comes through.  He told me I was more than welcome to keep calling for any updated information, but as soon as they know that Serbia is ready for business, then I'll know.
