Mine was mailed off by our lawyer on November 1st. I’m literally checking my informed delivery every morning hopeful to see a letter. But I’ll keep you guys posted.

Well what do you want to do, and what service are you looking at? Honestly I would look in to the Army for you. But since you don't have a Bachelor's degree you will more than likely have to start out as Enlisted unfortunately.

The officer was great and friendly but professional. Confirmed data from I-485, asked how we met and if my husband has visited me , yes no questions, asked me to give her some proofs not already submitted , told me that I did great work with it and congratulated me. That was it !

So, thought some might be interested. In the group picture is my Filipino wife, a Second Lieutenant, United States Air Force, Nurse Corps. This is a group picture of some of the nurses on her base here in Europe. The other nurses in the picture are all the rank of Captain to Lieutenant Colonel. The man to the far left next to my wife is also a Filipino, a Colonel. He is in charge of all the nurses in Europe. There are 2 or 3 other Filipinos in this picture, according to my wife.  The next picture is our family - wife, son and myself - after taking the train to Paris. The last picture is my wife at 1AM awaiting an inbound flight from Africa with a wounded soldier on board with a bullet in his leg. She is a part of the team that is responsible for transporting patients from point of injury to definitive treatment, from Europe, Africa, and Central Asia and then to the United States or back to their duty station. Her unit is the focal point in transporting wounded warriors and NATO forces between the aircraft and military medical facilities. She will be promoted to First Lieutenant in December. This year marked 10 years since her arrival in the USA. It is amazing what she has accomplished, and what she is giving back, since coming here. She loves the USA. She first was an airman in the Tennessee Air National Guard for 6 years, and then became an officer on active duty, in the United States Air Force. Her next Air Force assignment will be to attend the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner course in Maryland.

I couldnt be prouder, as an ex-Army guy.

My wife from the Philippines is being commissioned as an officer, a Second Lieutenant, on active duty, in the U.S. Air Force, as a Registered Nurse in the Air Force Nurse Corps. We will be leaving to join her at her duty station in Germany this summer, for several years.

Sounds pretty sufficient to me. Just work with all you have and be sure to clearly list these evidences in your cover letter. It honestly all comes down to the way you “sell your evidence”.
For example instead of just writing pictures say “photos from our wedding day on ** insert date here*
and instead of just saying letters, write letters for my husband (x) and myself showing same address/ residence.
seems simple but it makes a difference.

I would assume it would be faster once they transfer it. The transfer might slow thiogs a little, but 11.5 months (50% adjudicated) is much better than the almost 2 years at NYC.

Bank of America and Wells Fargo allows you to without a ssn. Try to focus on the things you can get. Print all the pictures you have showing different occasions in your relationship. Mail that comes to the same address (as to show u share residence), amazon orders count as well. If you’ve ever sent an email to your husband print that too. Club cards and library cards. Gym membership, affidavit from friends and family. If you guys go to dinner often save some receipts etc. when you’re lacking in evidence just focus on what you can control.

Islandgirl93 got a reaction from SalishSea in Is there any truth to this?
On the AOS forms it asks if the beneficiary had any case with uscis before ( if it was denied or other) and to provide the case number. It is my understanding that it makes your process go through faster. Is there any truth to this?

Here you go! This is the video I used for the Binder.
This woman started with a K1 Visa but the binder she prepared was for AOS for her husband's green card.
My binder ended up looking exactly like hers. I went to Staples and bought  everything I needed.
The IO was thrilled to take all my materials. You can NEVER have too much evidence.

I used an app called imazing. They have a free version or trial that accesses your iMessages from a laptop. Then you can print them. Also you can do screenshots on your phone and either access the images from a laptop or email them to yourself and print them.

@Islandgirl93 I’m currently Active Duty and as @Londonergirl stated JAG is no help. They can barely assist with regular state law, and will be little to no help with immigration law. The military doesn’t provide any assistance to the member in regards to immigration issues. You can contact the base ARMY Community Service (ACS) office for spousal support (not in regard to financial, but information and guidance). They offer different information assistance.  Some ACS offices have foreign spouses that work there and may be of tremendous help.

Anyone here denied after application with their military spouse? How can I explain to uscis that a military marriage is not your average marriage? My husband spends majority of his time away because he’s defending his country. We live away from friends and family most times. Your spouse isn’t away on vacation but they have a duty and a job and they can’t just say no to their orders.  Life as a mil spouse is not the regular and I wish they’d be more understanding.
