  1. No Immigration is not the traffic police
  2. We did not have to sign for Adil's GC but i don't think the PO can forward it Do u have a responsible person to get your mail? if so, i would go that route
  3. You will add spouse to tax returns starting the process of comminling MFJ Is what i did according to IRS rules for nonreesident alien spouse giving me the additional tax break https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/nonresident-spouse But u can do MFS and not worry about having a SS # or ITIN The ITIN allowed me to add my husband (still in Morocco ) to my checking account although he was not allowed a debit card till he entered the US Is commingling an issue? only if the country is high fraud but again affidavits are poor evidence /US family did not personally witness the marriage and foreign family addivats can not be legally enforced by definition a written statement confirmed by oath or affirmation, for use as evidence in court. If affidavits were important , we could write our own instead of producing a marriage certificate we could just say "I married in such and such a country"
  4. just be careful and if driving out of the state read a little about other state's laws I moved to Georgia and didn't know u had to stop for a funeral procession -on a divided 4 lane road coming opposite of me NY laws are strange like u have to drive with at least one hand on steering wheel and wear shoes Many of these laws are for insurance purposes and would be important if u were responsible for an accident school buses is a biggy as kids can get off and cross the road so hard lesson learned /there's a lot to take in Best to u in your new life in the US / stay warm
  5. Affidavits are rather used as its not the best evidence If a person did not witness the marriage, how would he/she know u r married? It is personal knowledge and if the person was not witness to the marriage , its not personal knowledge All affidavits need a notary signature if used but again, they are not needed unless USCIS asks for 1
  6. When i google it, this comes up Civil Documents - Immigrant Visa Process U.S. Department of State (.gov) https://travel.state.gov › step-7-collect-civil-documents Petitioner Documents. If you are applying for an IR5 visa as the parent of a ... documents: FINAL legal divorce decree, death certificate, or annulment papers.
  7. As of May 12, 2023, noncitizen nonimmigrant visitors to the U.S. arriving by air or arriving by land or sea no longer need to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19. https://www.usa.gov/covid-international-travel#:~:text=COVID-19 testing and vaccine, fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  8. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-5-collect-financial-evidence-and-other-supporting-documents/step-7-collect-civil-documents.html#:~:text=Petitioner Documents&text=This evidence must be an,death certificate%2C or annulment papers. For each family member u need the marriage and divorce papers /Refer to site above After you complete your DS-260(s), you and each family member immigrating with you MUST collect the civil documents required to support your visa application. If you were previously married, you must obtain evidence of the termination of EVERY prior marriage you have had. Your evidence must be an original or certified copy of one of the following documents: FINAL legal divorce decree, death certificate, or annulment papers.
  9. With both of u in the US, why are u concerned about Morocco? US embassy will review and interview and a US divorce is legal under our laws It will be up to the CO to review your evidence and question the new fiancee about her about the relationship and how much she knows you the CO will look at how long u have known each other, how much time u have spent together, your ages, income and any red flags that come up and marriages do fail but if she's here and divorced , Morocco does not matter as u don't intend to marry there BUT again, u could not consumate after a zoom marriage as her family would consider u married to 1st wife
  10. Depends if u want the divorce recognized By Morocco Did the divorce have the consent of both parties ? IS your former spouse still in Moroc? If so,read the following u can register by going thru the Moroccan laws for divorce in Morocco giving the Moroccan freedom to go with their life And don't know who told u divorce was a pain in Moroc / it's rather easy and quickly/ people file papers , go before the judge (within a week) and are divorced . Its not fair for u to be divorced and the Moroccan to be in limbo as still married Follow this to divorce Moroccan style Divorce Please note that only in case of mutual consent of both spouses, the consular section can initiate the procedure that will allow them to get their divorce before a moroccan judge without the obligation to be present in Morocco. Consensual divorce affidavit: $36 The non conciliation notary act: $36 The power of attorney in case of consent: fees $ 40 Timeline of all that happened would be helpful If former spouse is in the US, u could still responsible for the I 864 would US embassy approve a new K1 for another Moroccan? u do know K1 in Casa is already hard And if u do not want to return to Moroc to file divorce there, how will u meet after a Utah zoom to consumate the marriage understanding the culture and the Moroccan family will consider u still married to the other person? Not quite sure why u think all this will work
  11. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.htmlhttps://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.html lists documents needed /they need the originals also check the embassy site as there may be additional specific documents
  12. she can even be a stay at home housewife whatever the 2 of u have discussed for your future this question is not usually asked unless it is a high fraud country to a man with no job experience and little education and the CO is looking to see if the immigrant is using the USC
  13. Still this message is one we get for spouse visa as the K1 is not DQ by NVC /it goes to the embassy I see this timeline only K1 Visa Event Date Service Center : Vermont Service Center Transferred? No Consulate : Morocco I-129F Sent : 2022-02-22 I-129F NOA1 : 2022-02-25
  14. That would be the response for a spouse visa your post says K1 that would be sent directly to Casa for them to schedule and u would need all the K1 doacumets your timeline says interview approved so, this is confusing
  15. In order to be approved for spouse visa , u need to be working (or rich) as u need an income Saying u r having issues with pregnancy with depression , how can u work? asking for expedite because of these issues is like "shooting yourself in the foot" free to try faster - still long queue in that embassy in front of u and chances he would be here to help are slim But good luck and please, take care of yourself and Conratulations on the new baby to come
  16. USCIS does not recognize the following relationships as marriages, even if valid in the place of celebration: https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-12-part-g-chapter-2 Polygamous marriages;[3] Certain marriages that violate the strong public policy of the state of residence of the couple;[4] There are states that do not recognize it /Utah zoom is acceted by immirgration but other many states after the pandemic temporary stopped the facebook, whatsapp , etc online mar https://theamm.org/articles/317-these-states-are-where-you-can-and-can-t-get-married-online In recent years, a handful of states issued temporary legal orders to allow couples to apply for their marriage licenses and conduct their marriage ceremonies online using video conferencing platforms like Zoom and Skype. Many of these temporary provisions have now ended – but a few states still offer virtual wedding services. and many states do not allow it Hawaii Officiants CANNOT perform marriage via video conference ✗ New Jersey Officiants CANNOT perform marriage via video conference ✗ New York Couples can apply for marriage licenses via video conference ✓ Officiants CANNOT perform marriage via video conference ✗ Tennessee Officiants CANNOT perform marriage via video conference ✗ Other States Many states are offering a two-step approach allowing couples to begin the application process online before completing the paperwork in person, by appointment at their local office (such as in Delaware and Michigan). In Oregon, couples can apply for a license online and receive their document by mail.
  17. i believe e Utah is only state that has legal online zoom marriage that USCIS accepts as its legal in that state Who did your online marriage?
  18. there are 2 needed these 2 Police certificate (fiche anthropometrique) and English translation Court record (casier judiciare) and English translation
  19. Casa has changed the way K1 interviews are scheduled We use to schedule them online but now Please note that once a K visa petition is approved by USCIS, the file will be sent to the U.S. Consulate in Casablanca and we will contact the beneficiary of the petition directlyt to schedule an interview date. https://ma.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/ Casa likes to have original I 134 and 3 years tax returns , photos , some chats to show continued relationship, (not that the CO will look at all this but if u don't have it at interview , the CO will ask for it ) these are all originals Be sure u do the 2 police report(s) u also need to provide proof of your US residency Like a photo copy of DL or passport profile page When contacted by embassy, they will tell u the drs for medical as the do change the list from time to time. then u can schedule medical the visa when issued expires 6 months from medical so don't do it too far ahead
  20. if u choose a lawyer, it should be one familiar with US immigration
  21. USC needs to fill out the I 134 and totally support the beneficary till the AOS process is done and the EAD card is received Bene assetts are not important If USC income meets the 100% poverty guideline , it is up to USC to decide to show assets/ we don't know the circumstances of USC income and dependents and if the person has checked to see if they can afford health care insurance for u after your arrival Let the USC, petitioner follow the guidelines for this part of the process
  22. Use your US passport to enter /we travel to Europe in early 2020 and Adil used his US passport /even uses it when he makes a trip back to Morocco In this case consider yourself a USC Hungary is a party to the Schengen Agreement, which allows for free movement between certain European countries. U.S. citizens may enter Hungary for up to 90 days for tourist or business purposes without a visa.
  23. 1st most attorney offices only fill out and mail the petition the work load is on u, the petitioner and ds 260 is for the bene to fill out / a US lawyer would not be able to meet with bene to learn the facts Bene work history is not as important as the petitioner unless the bene worked in a country other than his own but they will appreciate all u can remember as there would be no W2 u can use additional paper to list as best as u can Remember u do not have to list the project place/its the company's fiscal address -usually billing office I had a facebook message from a Moroccan who had heard the embassy sent 3rd packet to home address(they use to a decade ago) and he lost his house in the earthquake
  24. i tried K1 and it was denied so had to follow thru with CR1 kinda glad it did as reading on here what couples go thru with the AOS and immigration after a US marriage is riduculous Adil had DL within a few weeks and a job within 2 months with the spouse visa if you do a search on Homesickness here on the site , u will see many a K1 person that is stuck not being able to drive , work, and without family and friends here, they suffer Even if the person doesn't want to or have to work, the driving license and learning the area are really a plus (in most of the US). every place i have lived in didn't have city buses, taxis or subways
