U are going to be allowed to vote among many other benefits Knowing who your Congressmen and President and what the 3 branches are / u need to know this to vote with knowledge like what office is a person running for? what are the job duties of that office? what party does he/she represent and what are the beliefs? u need to know more than just these 100 questions and all us USC's took American history and studied the government in school and college/ at that time we knew these answers as we had too and back in my day I had to list Presidents in order with the dates in office /so to me these questions look rather easy. Yeah , u study 100 and they ask 10 and u only need to know 6 asking all 100 would be more fair

US marriage certificates always have the original birth last name even for a woman , its maiden name even my 2nd marriage has my maiden name K1 visa does not allow him to work after marriage /he will need to go thru the AOS process for EAD study the guides above to familiarize yourself with the process but yes, apply for the SS # but this alone does not allow him to work After entering the US, a K-1 fiancé(e) can apply for a US Social Security Card. However, the application should be submitted two weeks after entry so that the government's “SAVE” system is up to date when you visit the Social Security Administration (SSA).Sep 24, 2023

JeanneAdil replied to Texindian's topic in Tourist Visas
you can try reinstate it but there is clear intent to AOS and if granted she may be turned back to home by CBP same with a new tourist visa/ it is fraud to plan AOS on tourist visa u want her to live in US , if USC , apply for I 130 u want her to live in US, apply for I 130 approval -
To best help u many of us ask questions it can seem invasive and personal but immigration gets very personal only trying to help here so bear with us and we will try Unforunately Nigeria is known for fraud and false documents and u have been caught up in a long hard process because of that Thankfully they are giving u and spouse a 2nd chance I would suspect long AP after interview to check the document of divorce and the new marriage / nothing against u but in the past someone took your husband's money and there was no divorce the CO will ask about times u have been together, if u want children and i would not be surprised if the CO calls your husband Stay hopeful, Be honest don't volunteer anything the CO doesn't ask about Pray

sorry but as this post says Columbus, Ohio has over 1000 residency programs including specialities including Ohio State where she lives and several others in that city alone https://www.residencyprogramslist.com/in-ohio I am sure you could have found one closer to your wife as the following exists Our lists of medical residencies in the United States contain 5522 programs in 31 specialties u can not convince me when its too easy to look this up -
Adil was interviewed for K1 by Moroccan and denied she did say she didn't foreigners taking away their men approved when interviewed for IR1 by an American His mom 1st B1/B2 denied 2nd one approved both times native speakers its more common for tourist visa interview to be allowed in native language speakers (naitve or American) as parents like to visit sons and daughters and the older generation often do not know English When interviewing for a fiancee or spouse visa, its always good to show u have a working knowledge of English as u intend to live here but its not even necessary as i know 2 women who were approved without knowing/ both times the man was from the same country If the criteria for the petition is met, it should be approved

you answer the questions honestly and will problably be in AP while the CO checks the new degree sounds like your spouse paid a nigerian for divorce and they just took his money and bought a fake document but u don't know exactly so don't volunteer any info What did your spouse explain this on the new petition?

Any success repaying government funding?
JeanneAdil replied to PASTJOURNEY18's topic in Student & Exchange Visitor Visas
The release committment comes from the home country not the US government agency sponsor / donated agency is different than government agency Who sponsors a J1 visa? The Secretary of State appoints sponsor organizations for J1 visas. These organizations can come in various forms, including government agencies, educational institutions, academic organizations, cultural organizations, non-profit organizations, and for-profit organizations.May 6, 2023 and how would a person pay back to government agencies and yes, home country can waive the requirement/ offer of an internship or decent job offer can waive a lot of rules contact the embassy and go that route -
to leave the US proof of covid vaccine and free of the illness is no longer required but getting the new booster is a good idea i would still use a mask not only because of covid but the flu if traveling in US , hotels at Christmastime are not busy (almost empty) as people are staying with family but nice sometimes to stay in one of these as rates go down and family homestead may be crowded. if u know a good real estate agent, u can rent out your apartment or house to other travelers while u r gone, to help your own expenses Actually Thanksgiving is the most traveled holiday so allow ample time to go thru security at US airport Atlanta expectations are Hartsfield-Jackson expects 3.6 million passengers between Nov. 17 and Nov. 28.

Any success repaying government funding?
JeanneAdil replied to PASTJOURNEY18's topic in Student & Exchange Visitor Visas
is the following your circumstance? If so the 2 year home-country directly applies to u Some exchange visitors (with J-1 visas) are subject to the two-year home-country physical presence requirement. This includes current and former exchange visitors. You are subject if one or more of the following applies to you: Government funded Exchange Program - You participated in a program funded in whole or in part by a U.S. government agency, your home country’s government, or an international organization that received funding from the U.S. government or your home country’s government. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/study/exchange/waiver-of-the-exchange-visitor/eligibility.html -
with CO and interviews its providing health care insurance, food and housing, and monthly money basically those things that a person could get from social services to add assistance to the household or on their own if displaced some of this is a cultural question but to AOS u need to prove combined assets not necessarily money but names added to insurance policies, rent or deed, bank accounts, etc but to have a decent relationship, USC would probably make sure the K1 bene has a cell and contract so the person is not isolated from family and friends and make sure they have clothes as needed , a driving license if a car is required for grocery shopping and just plain getting to learn their way around. its hard enough to move and not feel homesick (as discussed on here many times) but the person can't be left at home with nothing but the marriage partner

Change of address or risking further delay?
JeanneAdil replied to R&OC's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
https://www.uscis.gov/forms/all-forms/n-600-application-for-certificate-of-citizenship-frequently-asked-questions I do not currently reside in the United States. Am I still eligible for a Certificate of Citizenship? Persons who acquired U.S. citizenship and reside abroad should seek evidence of citizenship through a passport application to the Department of State. In most cases, one must be living in the United States to apply for a Certificate of Citizenship. Generally, you cannot automatically acquire citizenship after birth through your parent if you have not been lawfully admitted for permanent residence to the U.S. However, a parent or legal guardian may be able to apply for naturalization for you under section 322 of the Immigration and Nationality Act if you are under 18 years of age and temporarily present in the United States pursuant to a lawful admission, which includes a lawful admission in non-immigrant status. Please refer to Form N-600K, Application for Citizenship and Issuance of Certificate Under Section 322 for more information. -

you will be hard pressed to prove u had to move away from wife for residency during the covid era since we were so hard up for doctors and nurses the following happened Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, several states have also issued temporary licenses to physicians without requiring a residency. The American Medical Association (AMA) took similar measures, making it easier for IMGs to gain licensure. Because the pandemic and Russia's invasion of Ukraine disrupted the process by which some IMGs had their licenses verified, the AMA is now encouraging state licensing boards and other credentialing institutions to accept certification from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates as verification, rather than requiring documents directly from international medical schools. Also:: You can work as a medical assistant, research assistant, or find an observership where you are limited and do far less than what you did in your 3rd year of medical school. Essentially, you work without pay hoping this will boost your CV before reapplying for residency again the next year. -
If no red flags and quality time spent together , the CR1 visa far outweighs the K1 hopefully when crazycat wakes, he will post the big differences between the 2 but for now, its easier to get the SS # , a driving license and all in all it is less expensive as AOS after US marriage is $1225 and they have asked for increase in that fee. Timeline for AOS and waiting is a painfully long u chose right Nolo law red flags https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/red-flags-that-make-uscis-suspect-marriage-fraud.html

Field investigation/Home visit nightmare?
JeanneAdil replied to Silverberry1331's topic in Africa: Sub-Saharan
yes , it has happened in Nigeria before officer should have shown his ID to the mom for this visit One i remember was 2 or 3 years ago and was asked about here on VJ I recall the officer visiting while the spouse was home and at that visit he also called the US spouse and asked questions about the house in Nigeria itself as supposedly she had stayed there. The USC never followed up here on VJ with the outcome and didn't post a timeline Only thing that sounds strange is "no ID shown" and " only 1 officer" i believe 2 came in the other post -
At this point u can not transfer citizenship as u became a UCS after they were born file the I129 for fiancee /it allows for deviatives K2 visas for the twins https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/guides/K1_Process_V11.pd\ If u married, u would need to file I 130 for each ,wife and 2 kids
