  1. Hello! In the section requesting information about the beneficiary's income and assets, should I enter their current salary outside of the U.S. and their assets? Or should I put $0 as their salary because they will not be making an income in the U.S. until they receive their work permit? Thank you!
  2. Hi everyone, My fiance and I are awaiting his interview this upcoming March, and are starting to prepare for our marriage and filing for the green card. We are aware of the months it will take to receive the green card, but of course would be ecstatic to get a work permit within the first 6 months of being married. My fiance previously had a work visa in the U.S., where he obtained a SSN. Is there any chance that could expedite the process in any way? Any information on this topic is appreciated!
  3. After receiving our NOA2 9/22/2023, our case was received at Paris embassy and we completed the DS-160. After checking nonstop, an appointment for an interview finally became available for March 27, 2023. This is about 6 months after our NOA2 was approved, so after the 4 month expiration date. I really want to try and reschedule an interview for sooner, but nothing is opening up. I'm overwhelmed because it seems like all other applicants have been able to get their interview for sooner; I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Will it be no issue to extend my approval past the 4 months? Is it a waste of time trying to get a sooner appointment, or am I missing a way to schedule for sooner?
  4. Hi! Can I ask how you ended up paying your fee? I am experiencing the same screen when trying to pay the fee for the Paris embassy and I can't figure out where to pay the MRV.
  5. I just completed my DS-160 with my fiancé, and now we are registering on the embassy website to pay the visa fee and schedule an appointment. It shows the $265 fee, but no where to pay it. Then it says "There are no available appointments at this time. Please check back in a few days as the Consular Section will open more appointments." Does that just mean we can only pay a fee when there are open interviews to book? Our embassy is Paris, so not sure how long we should anticipate to wait.
  6. Hello! We received our NOA1 October 20, 2022 and received our case number October 18, 2023.
  7. Thank you! I was just unclear as to what the process would be for scheduling the medical exam and interview - wasn’t sure how to do that or if there were specific time frames of when we needed to do the medical before the interview.
  8. I am in the K1 visa process with my fiancé (the beneficiary, French). At this stage we have received: - 9/20/23: NOA2 (I-797) - 10/11/23: email from NVC (attention to my fiancé) with our case number and confirming receipt of our I-129f - 10/18/23: confirmation our case reached the Paris embassy. I am currently working on my I-134 and gathering supporting documents, which looks like it is not submitted in advance and simply signed and mailed to my fiancé to bring to the interview? My fiancé is also just about finished with his DS-160 – he has job-hopped a bit so he is unable to complete that portion for the last 5 years without hitting the limit on how many jobs he can list. Not sure if that is okay? Once the DS 160 is completed, my understanding is you will make a copy of the confirmation page to bring to the interview and pay the fee at the same time? Does my fiancé also schedule his medical exam and interview on the same website, or is that through a different website? We are also not sure when we should schedule the medical exam in relationship to the interview. Any information/answers/experience specifically with the Paris embassy is greatly welcomed and appreciated!!!!
  9. Thank you so much!!! I am so glad to have found the website.
  10. Hello. I met my fiancé (the beneficiary) when he was on a J1 visa in the U.S almost 6 years ago. When we completed his I-129f, we did not include a SSN for him as he completely forgot he ever had one. We have since received our NOA2 and our case has been received at the embassy (Paris). We are now completing the DS-160, where it asks about any previous visas and SSN for the beneficiary. While filling out this form, we discovered my fiancé's SSN. We have not yet submitted the DS-160, as we are nervous for the impact of not putting the SSN on the original I-129f application. Will it be ok to simply state the information on the DS-160? Or should we additionally provide a police report for the United States, even though that's not already required? Any advice is appreciated!!!
