  1. Hello, My friend just received a Welcome letter from NVC asking him to snail mail all AOS and civil documents. Why question is can we send the photocopy of birth certificate and translation to NVC and bring the certified or original to interview?" Thank you,
  2. My friend paid AOS fee and the status showed 'paid", but she cannot she the link to upload i-864. Attached is the screenshot. Please suggest what she going to do? Thank you.
  3. My worry is because I lost my petition for name change and USCIS does not give a certified copy again per call this morning. At the time of my name change district court did not possess a copy of it. I am worrying that my son passport application would stuck if Department of State asked for my original/certified name change. Though my ID is same name as it is on my son birth certificate. My appointment is on Dec 21th. Will check back your post.
  4. Hello, I changed my name from Hieu Wong to Andy Wong 30 years ago when I was naturalized. On my son's birth certificate which listed Andy Wong as my name. On Ds-11 application for my son it asked to list his parent's birth first and last which is Hieu Wong. I lost my petition for name change and my district court said they only have records after 2004 (name was changed in 1994). I called USCIS and they can only provide a copy through FOIA, which I just received. My question is if I list my birth name on my son passport application and only have a copy of name change, will post office proceed with the application? Thank you, Andy
  5. You should list your name as her child, but I am not sure about your dad. I'm trying to find that answer too because my friend has the same question like you.
  6. Hello, Should we provide name of parents of petitioner if he/she passed away on Part 2 of I-130 Information about you (petitioner)? Thank you.
  7. Hello My friend filed I-130 for his spouse and petition was approved. However, when he filled the I-130 he stated that his spouse will AOS, in the US instead of applying for visa abroad. His spouse is currently living abroad and she needs to apply a visa which required to file I-824. petitioner is filing I-824 on Part 1 On Part 2 of I-824 Reason for Request he should check "USCIS to send my immigration approved petition to the NVC" right? On part 3 Information about beneficiary previous approved petition. If other than you 1A. "Form number of previously approved application or petition", what is this form? Thank you. AN
