TastyCake got a reaction from SoCal2021 in I-751 October 2021 Filers
Thanks for feeling our pain. 🙂 We received the official letter today and our biometrics have in fact been waived. I will update our row on the October spreadsheet later today.
So now we're just in a waiting state. The Vermont Service Center is currently 10-16.5 months for an I-751. We're hoping we are closer to the 10 months. Got our fingers crossed.

It's so frustrating when you see something you're waiting for in informed delivery, and then it doesn't come. It's happened to me and the letter came the next day. Don't worry about the online status not updating. Sometimes, it just doesn't.

TastyCake got a reaction from Tommy john in Vermont service center
I noticed the processing times for I-751 have been updated. EAC (Vermont) has improved some. Now it is 10 - 16.5 months. So the minimum stayed the same but the max was shortened by 4.5 months.
I also saw the following message in red pertaining to how they will now come up with the processing times:
ALERT: Starting Nov. 1, 2021, processing times will be based on 6 months of data instead of one month. You can read more about processing times on our Case Processing Times page.

Good luck to you. My wife and I are just happy to be 'in the queue' now. It'll be a wait for sure but at least the clock has started ticking. 🙂

Thanks, looks good. Appreciate the work you do on this. I hope if it's sabotage the individual(s) in question can get a life. If someone is messing it up by accident I hope the individual(s) in question can take a good class in MS Excel.

Sent ROC package to Phoenix. It was officially delivered today. Now waiting for a text notification, NOA letter. And then the wait begins... again...
Good luck to all. Hoping for quick approvals for all of us.

Yes, and that was hard! On the bright side, it feels to me that every step we take, every application we file, and every interview we attend is an affirmation of our commitment to each other. Every approval is a celebration!

Amen. I recall the difficulty during the I-129f process. At that time you had to wait AND couldn't be together.

Now... if only Ukraine would do the same thing. They still currently have the same 'revolutionary' requirement.

TastyCake reacted to Mollie09 in General question about ROC
From Boston, ROC took ~14 months back in 2015 (filed 12/2015, approved 02/2017). IIRC, it's all down to service center, so everyone going to Vermont would be the same.
The good news is, the naturalization timeline is based on local office, and mine took 5 months from submission to oath this year.

TastyCake reacted to SorrowL in General question about ROC
Expect ROC to take 12-16 months. You can file for Naturalization regardless after the 3 year Residency is met.

Check out our timeline under the AOS section. I wrote a novelette. Ha ha
https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=330856
But one think about these interviews. They're like snowflakes. All are different. Depends on agent, USCIS office, etc. Ours was a little interesting. More questions it seems than several others but not confrontational really. Just Q&A. You'll be fine.

A word of warning. I have only had one real positive experience calling this number. I coincidentally called a day or two after our I-129f was officially approved. The approval was not yet reflected online (this happened several days later) so I just happened to learn the good news as a result of some VERY lucky timing.
All other times calling this number have been a complete waste of my time. Tier 1 agents have maybe a tad more information than you. You may read tales about people speaking to Tier 2 agents and getting a whopping amount of helpful information. I am skeptical and think several of these people are full of what makes the grass grow. I tried the Tier 2 route a number of times and it didn't benefit me one bit.
I am just trying to set expectations here. In many cases, calling this number will leave you frustrated.

TastyCake got a reaction from Brazil/US2018 in August 2019 - AOS Fillers!
I don't think you need to be worried. I believe it depends on your local USCIS office. Some are quicker than others.
Our office has pretty good turnaround time and we feel VERY fortunate about this. Based on USPS tracking, we are projected to receive my wife's GC tomorrow. We feel for those who have a longer 'tail' than us.
Here is a link on this website with processing times for various offices. Maybe this can help you gauge things:

Of course, I hope your turnaround time is quicker than what this link may suggest. This link is only historical and reliant on people keeping their timelines accurate. Good luck. 🙂

I believe I had this status at one point, too. You will notice your status will start changing often at this point. If you were told you were approved I believe you are good. So smile. 🙂
