I am very worried right now so I figured I would ask around a bit. I had my interview last tuesday (23rd April) in Frankfurt. Everything went pretty well, they kept my passport and said the only thing missing is my fianceés tax transcript of 2018. So he gave me a white 221g form, writing tax transcript 2018 on there and gave me the email adress to send it to.
 
Said and done, I sent them it the same day - I later realized what my fianceé sent me was actually her 2018 tax return, not the tax transcript. However, they said they received the return and the consular officer is reviewing it and they will let me know if that's enough or if they still need the tax transcript or anything else.
 
As of today, 2nd May, the CEAC status still shows Administrative Processing, last updated on tuesday, 30th april. I am very worried this will take a while, mostly because the flight is already booked (I booked it after the interview since all seemed well and it seemed like this would be a quick process). Has anyone made any experiences with how long it takes Frankfurt to look over a single document sent after the interview? So far they haven't gotten back to me to request anything else, which I assume is good news, but still - I am worried this will take a very long time. Any experiences? Thank you!

Just got that same answer on the 24th. Guess we can just be patient! In my experience with USCIS, something mailed usually takes a week or slightly more to arrive.

Yes. Just got done with the interview. He went over all the basic questions again (are you a criminal etc.), We gave him the lease and pictures of us and the wedding. He asked when we got married and I accidentally gave him the wrong date (thought he asked for the celebration, not the actual certificate date). Asked how we met and we told him the whole story. He said "awesome I gotta Google this app" and then after we gave him everything he was like "Well, I got everything I need. Let me escort you guys back and you're good"
 
he didn't even take a look at our birth certificates.

We did discuss adding me to her health plan, but just did not get around to it yet. I hope we will be fine though. We are leaving in like a hour and I will update once its done

Actually, I was just able to create a new account with texting a code. However, the 2019 tax return isnt showing up on there yet. Probably because of the delayed deadline. Good thing I checked, though. Thanks!

Thanks! I heard that most of the time, they aren't quite as strict in the AOS interview because they mostly understand that coming here, moving cross countries and often continents etc. means you won't have much in both your names anytime soon. Let's hope!

I mean that would only make sense. I can’t imagine people can just throw things together so quickly and especially due to the fact we’re in a pandemic. I think you’ll do fantastic. Positive vibes your way !!! 

Thanks for the help! Seems my wife doesn't have an online account though and it takes up to 10 days to receive an activation code. I guess I should've thought of this sooner. 
 
Reading other people's experiences though I think we'll be fine. When it comes to remove conditions, we'll have much more evidence either way. Thank you

March 18th; two days before that, everything closed. Just got a new appointment today for August 6th. You should hear from them soon I am sure!

Last wednesday my status also changed to them scheduling a new interview date. Hoping to get the notice soon and I hope it wont be too late by the time I get it haha. But it is usually more than a month out (it was in March for me before it was cancelled), so I hope it is the same now.

Okay, so everyone, and everyone from every country goes through some form of AP. It can be 2-3 days, 2-3 weeks, 2-3 months, or even year 1-2+ years.
 
It is completely normal, it can not be bypassed or expedited. It is NOT unique to Afghanistan.
 
AP can involve simply the embassy finishing paper work, security checks, final background information, document verification, ect.
 
Some countries have to endure long AP times because the country of the beneficiary has issues maintaining good documentation or records, or is not willing to release information to the US embassy.
 
There is nothing that can be done but be patient and wait. There are no real statistics to say whether or not it will be approved or how long it could take.

I never heard about a long AP from Frankfurt and since it was just last week I wouldnt worry too much now.
If you can't cancel the flight you can't do much anyways. Hope it works out
