So happy that my wife completed her medical a few months ago.

Yeah, pretty sad that people who immigrate legally have to. I don't see them doing all of that to people who migrating to USA through Mexico border.

Forcing an experimental medical treatment on people in order to immigrate. Pretty sad. Glad my wife immigrated here long before this madness.

Saint Luke's Extension Clinic just announced MANDATORY completion of COVID vaccination before any medical will be issued in the Philippines.  Pretty much putting to rest any speculation about what COVID vaccine policy will be going forward.  No vaccine, no medical report.  If it is a two dose vaccine both doses must be completed on schedule for a medical report to be issued. 
 
There is also a new requirement for a negative RT-PCR test prior to any medical examination being done so that is another added expense.  They do not mention the option of a much cheaper, faster antigen test.  Coincidentally,  Saint Luke's Extension Clinic is offering RT-PCR testing for a fee.
 
Not a concern to us as my wife did already get her vaccine and we have good documentation of that fact.  However, I imagine some folks will be freaking out at this development.

I'm the petitioner and had my interview yesterday. The officer went over the information on packet 485.
 
This is what we handed over to her:
My copy of my birth certificate
Copy of marriage certificate
My wife's translated birth certificate
Copy of my driver's license
Copy of my wife's passport/Visa in passport
I-94
Most recent W2 (almost didn't bring it)
Showed her a ton of pictures of us from the beginning to present day. She made a copy of 10 recent pictures.
I stupidly did not apply for an EAD/AP so my wife never got a social so I lacked a lot of joint evidence. I had a Power of Attorney given to my wife notarized and an affidavit from my father notarized saying we are in a bonafide marriage. I was already thinking they were going to deny me on the lack of joint evidence but she said it was enough and approved our greencard.
 
The information I needed to know was the dates on when I visited my wife and when we got married.

We were nervous too, but I'm sure it'll go fine. 
 
My only tips would be to be organized with the documents they ask you to bring in and try not to read too much into the interviewer's style or questions (friendly, hostile, indifferent, etc.) People have had very different experiences and still gotten approved!

With the EAD the new SSN card will have the same work text that her current card has: "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION" https://www.ssa.gov/ssnumber/cards.htm
 
After getting the GC she should go in again to get a completely unrestricted SSN card.

If her SSN name, EAD name do not match then yes, they denied her by their rules.   It is easy to change name on SSN

The name on her EAD should be the name she wants to use (this will be the name on her greencard as well). It will be easy to have the name on the Social Security Card changed, because she now has an EAD with the correct name she will use. The SS Card will not say she is not allowed to work, it will only say that it is only valid for work with DHS authorization (and the EAD is that authorization).

I am in the same position, last update on my I-485 is from December when I sent them the now-obsolete I-944. Got my EAD in February. Tried talking to live rep, but was told that it's still being processed, even though they didn't even update my case online after fingerprints were taken.

I am looking for people who has had their GC interview (k1/marriage based) here...
 
On the part where it asks to bring everything that solidifies or proves your marriage...we are a very simple couple and only really have our bank account together, lease, health insurance, and pictures (SO MANY PICTURES)....we don't have credit cards together, no utilities (it is included in our lease) no car title together (his paperwork to get a license was delayed so he couldn't even drive until very recently!!!) no tax returns together. So my question is, is this going to be an issue? How was the process on this part for you all?

What about power of attorney for each other, wills, car insurance?
What you have doesn't sound bad to be honest and I wouldn't be too worried.

Of course it’s a scam!   You don’t have to pay a fee to “activate” a gift card!

USCIS does not send out free debit cards.

There's no USCIS office address on the letter.  So generic.  Google USCIS letter and you will see they all have an address from the office that sent the letter.  Furthermore, they never use a generic "Dear Sir/Madam."
