Yesterday, the website didn’t let me see the status and this is the update today!

How can it be so quick?? It’s been 86 days only since we applied! We are from Miami (Hialeah office for biometrics, but still) and I heard it usually takes very long to get scheduled here.

I can’t believe the news! Feels kind of scary now 😅

Would somebody please navigate me where do I look for what to prepare for an interview?

    Thanks!

No update for either I-131 or I-765.

Thanks to everyone, who responded ❤️
We just booked a flight to Nashville, so it’s within the US 😁 I used my maiden name for the passengers information as it stated that I have to use the same name as on my travel photo ID, even though I applied for AOS with my married name. I’ll for sure bring all the other useful papers with me. I usually have them around even when I go out just in case 😂

I traveled on July (aos still pending). Make sure to take your passport, copy of noas, biometrics with stamp and marriage certificate. I didn't take any of this, only my marriage certificate, because I submitted my application that same week, but a TSA officer told me it was important to carry those. I was also asked if I was alone or traveling with someone.

    Don't leave the US though!!

You can fly within the States with no issues. We flew to another state and back just last week with no issues with my passport. I had our copies marriage certificate and NOA with just in case but nothing was ever asked.

Hey people! Got this update a few days ago too!
It seems people started getting their cases updated pretty much at the same time!
When do you guys expect to start receiving your EAD cards?
Anybody here from Florida, Miami, buy the way?
I have no idea how quick or slow the local office is 🤷🏻‍♀️.

We are this year June filers based in Miami!

I don’t have much expectations from the local office, but still full of hope to at least receive my EAD by the end of the year 😄

What about i-131, guys? Has anybody been approved for it and traveled outside the US with this Travel Document?

I would also want to encourage people to get a Library Card! Did you know that with the passes they offer you can actually go and enjoy so many places to free? Like Viscaya Museum or Deering Estate or even a Zoo.
And the Railroad museum has a free admission for every Saturday of the month till December!

I hope this information will be useful for somebody 😁

My wife and I traveled 3 times... no questions on any by the officer in the booth or in secondary screening. In the room it was just wait to be called and to only get passport and card and leave. First two times we waiting around 15 mins arriving mid afternoon, third and last almost 3 hours on a Sunday evening as there was only one officer in the secondary screening room.. so my recommendation be patient... also another recommendation is that is tell anyone from the personnel that you have an AP before doing any line, they usually take it straight to an officer or at least a short line... first time we lost 30 mins in the self service machine Lines that obviously won’t work with AP.

Thanks, I couldn’t believe it myself and even the immigration officer said we were very lucky as it normally takes over a year after marriage.  my wife got here in February,  we married in March and Green card approved this month in August. I’m still like wow myself I was expecting the green card interview next year honestly no joke.

    SSA is annoying for K1’s.

You’ll have to wait until you have the EAD or GC to change the name, but you’ll be fine as your marriage certificate is proof of name change for things like banking and insurance.

Don't have to submit it unless any of your documents are in different names.

Personally, my birth certificate has a different last name than my passport due to a legal name change; I submitted the name change certificate because I imagine it wouldn't make sense otherwise. I assume it's expected, because I had to do the same when I was getting a passport in Canada; in fact, getting a replacement passport in my legal name, which I changed when I turned 18, was an issue without the certificate that I changed my name in the first place--even though my previous passport was in that name.

So I personally would include that paperwork to be safe, but the instructions don't explicitly mention it I don't think.
