Hi guys!

We are currently collecting all the paperwork to apply for AoS from K1.

We got married within 90 days.

While filling out I-485, I will mention other names used. In my case I had few other last and middle names used prior maiden or married names.

I have mentioned them during K1 process and submitted proof like (adoption decree, deed poll name change (UK) during the interview and had no issues.

My question is, while mentioning other names used since birth again during AoS, do I have to submit any proof/evidence and send it with the packet?

I can't see any requirements goingt through instrcuctions.

Thank you

Don't have to submit it unless any of your documents are in different names.

Personally, my birth certificate has a different last name than my passport due to a legal name change; I submitted the name change certificate because I imagine it wouldn't make sense otherwise. I assume it's expected, because I had to do the same when I was getting a passport in Canada; in fact, getting a replacement passport in my legal name, which I changed when I turned 18, was an issue without the certificate that I changed my name in the first place--even though my previous passport was in that name.

So I personally would include that paperwork to be safe, but the instructions don't explicitly mention it I don't think.

I will submit birth certificate in different name and I have an adoption decree that specify the name change. But I changed it again years after because of my parents divorce. So I don't know if I should submit two name changes, because I assume submitting one can only confuse them.

USCIS was pretty clear with other names used for I-129, but its a bit confusing for AoS. They might already have copies of evidence from the K1 interview back from where I came.
