Yes, now you juat wait until you get the scheduled interview notice.
We had a lot of trouble too with the k1 visa part but were really lucky with this part of the process and received the green card in 4 months. Don't give up hope, it might be quick. Good luck!!
Ok thank you! 😊 So we just wait for notification in the nail, correct?

New to the forum...we filed my husband’s paperwork in July along with advanced parole and employment. He went for his fingerprinting months ago. What happens next? Just sit and wait? Should I be checking anything online? Sorry to be clueless...we had quite the ordeal just getting his K1 visa so we don’t have high hopes that anything will go quickly with this either! Thank you in advance! 😊

For my time here, one of the most memorable is @KBA I still can't believe the power they had as a couple. I think you can check the timeline by going there.
But this was not a normal wait for 99.9% of the people here: I say the regular longest waits at worst times was 200 ( but our average 2 years ago was 180-200 days)
I am a highly anxious person and by my 200th day I was going into real negativity. I am now sitting here with my now husband watching TV shows, have an awesome job and really happy life - and that thought ( back then a dream of ours) was the only thing I needed to remember everyday. And to be honest, people in VJ reminded that to each other every day.
Yes, I think our wait was definitely one of the longest! (Take a look at my timeline, it’s not pretty) But we are finally married and submitted the AOS paperwork...and hoping things go smoothly from here!

I'm still here. I'm just about to go to bed so I'll fill you guys in on what's happened and what's going on
Thank you for thinking of me. That's really lovely and brought some well needed smiles. 💜
Hope you’re doing ok!

Does he not have a Euro standard license?
He’s from Canada and the license is in French.. because they use different letters to indicate things such as a CDL license (which he has) they want it translated

I am working on AOS paperwork 😬 and am wondering do we pay a separate fee to apply for AP? Thank you! 😊

Hello, my husband came to the states from Quebec and the DMV needs his license to be translated from French as he has a CDL license and motor cycle license. The DMV told him to go to AAA to have that done and they don’t do it. Anyone else been in this situation? Many thanks!

My now husband was detained for 5 hours and denied entry. They thought he had immigrant intent. He returned with all his financial stuff and proof of ties and still got denied. He waited 8 months before trying again and I went to visit him instead. Then when he tried again he brought a copy of the NOA1 and they let him through. We were really worried about our case because of all this but finally got approved! So I’d say don’t worry!

I would consider the CR1. You will get a green card right away.. etc as mentioned in other posts. My fiancé is Canadian and we waited 1 year and 2 months for NOA2 for no good reason...shouldn’t have happened especially with a low fraud country and nothing in his background to warrant it. If we had it over we would’ve done CR1

We waited 456 long days for NOA2. We still don’t know and won’t even know why our car was SO delayed...hang in there for now and try not to worry. We made ourselves crazy overthinking it all

Hey how was your P3 experience? I see it took you 21 days after consulted received. Did they physically mail or email you it? Thanks!
Yes we tried emailing it sooner but they said they were still processing our case..etc. We did receive P3 by email a few days after but overall it took longer than we thought it would to get P3. Once that was submitted we had P4 within a few days. All correspondence has been through email.

We waited much longer so I would not throw in the towel just yet...at the one year mark we hired a lawyer and filed a lawsuit for writ of mandamus. 6 weeks later we got an RFE...something that could’ve been taken care of much sooner. We still don’t know WHY we were so delayed. We almost gave up and went the CR1 route but then things finally happened.

To anyone who still checks in with this group, interview is scheduled for 1/16!! We are finally getting to the end of this long process...can’t believe we started this in 2017 and will finally be finishing it in 2019!! 🎉

Interview is scheduled for 1/16! Was too tight to try and get things done before the holidays and he wanted to be able to come visit. Fingers crossed as we finish up this long process! POE in February hopefully if all goes well. Thank you everyone for your help and support!

Question on traveling to Canada
in Canada
Posted
Hello, has anyone travelled to Canada and back that can share their experience? My husband has several doctors appointments in Canada and so we are thinking he will have to quarantine in Canada for 14 days prior to his appointments. When he returns to the US, we are guessing he will have to quarantine here for 14 days. We are weighing the options to see if he should even bother right now. Any assistance is appreciated! 😊
