    Greeting everyone,

    This issue had been bugging me the whole time, I received an RFE on yesterday and it asking me question about;

    4. Have you ever been arrested, cited, charged, indicated, convicted, fined, or imprisoned for breaking or violating any law or ordinance in any country, excluding traffic violations (unless a traffic violation was alcohol - or drug - related or involved a fine of $500 or more)?

    YES _____ OR NO _____

I put "N/A" on NO line

is that okay? what im saying is; i never did it or that 4. question statement does not pertain to me. I've seen this questions multiple times in this website either put NONE or N/A.

I talk to uscis multiple times and they said that "Yes, you are correct. It's fine that you put N/A on NO line as it not applicable to you."

so since i put N/A im good to go?

Please help me clarify this guys, it kept me bugging the whole time :(

I got an RFE for this question after waiting 14 months...the way I read it, since I had answered no to the questions above it I didn’t need to also answer this question. Big mistake. I checked the no box and got my approval in 10 days.

Thank you for your response! I've been reading a lot of posts on VJ and most of them confirm that you do not need a letter from the bank as long as you are above the poverty line based on your employment letter and IRS Transcrips and the following should definitely be enough as per those posts:

    1) Online Bank Statement for the last 3 months
    2) IRS Tax Transcripts for the last 3 years
    3) W-2 for the last 3 years
    4) Letter from the Employer
    5) Pay Stubs from the last 3 months

However, those posts are not that recent there I would be relieved if someone here can confirm?

I'm just trying to avoid the bank letter because I've heard the bank (Chase, in my fiancee's case) trouble a lot to give such documents. Can anyone share their experience on this?

Thank you, EVERYONE, in advance :)

Yes I am hoping to avoid the letter from the bank also...interested to hear what others have had for experiences

The key word is FILED. Not approved or completed. So has anyone ever FILED for you besides your current petitioner (in this case,  you = beneficiary). If so YES, if not NO. Most answer it NO as they have never had a case FILED for them prior to their current petitioner.

Date of travel. Guesstimation will work for this entry.

At least 5 years. Go to the I-94 website and download travel history and transpose it to the DS-160.

My fiancé is the beneficiary so since he was able to obtain a green card in the past through his father, then I would say it’s yes to that question.

5 years of travel is a lot!!

To the people who already filled out the DS-160 form:

"Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services?"

Did you answer yes or no?

The K1 is a nonimmigrant visa, so technically it is no right?

Probably a very stupid question :D

My fiancé had a green card years ago through his father...so he would answer yes right?

What are you supposed to put for the anticipated date of travel? And how far back does he have to go with his travel to the states? Thanks 😊

  5. We waited 14 months for NOA2. They kept telling us that security checks were pending. We contacted our congresswoman also and they didn’t get anywhere either. We ended up suing USCIS ultimately and finally got an RFE for an unchecked box. Still doesn’t explain why we waited so long. Ours is definitely the extreme case and hopefully you will have an answer soon!

    youre canada.

    youre gold.

you have 6 months at any given point on your passport. paul is here every 2 or 3 weeks for a long weekend (and at holidays often stays longer), and has done this the past 3 years almost. we joke that hes practically on a first name basis with the border guards at peace bridge lol

We ran into problems where my fiancé was not let in because they felt he was trying to illegally immigrate even though he brought evidence of his ties. He ended up being detained for 4-5 hours which was horrible. After that, he didn’t try to cross again for 7 months. In the meantime we had filed for the K1...so when he tried to cross again he was provided an I-94 indicating when he had to return to Canada by. Definitely a pain but glad he was able to come through. I think the OP will be fine, especially if they didn’t give her any difficulty with her most recent visits.

No News about AOS, filed April 6 2018 and been "ready for interview" for a while.  Unlike the i-129f I have no intentions to write the President about this one.  💋

Congrats!! Our case finally made its way to the embassy...can’t believe how far behind we are! Better late than never 😊

You will save yourself a lot of problems once in the states if you just have the vaccinations done at the Embassy's choice of medical center that you will use for your exam. There are people out there that are PM'ing me with their horror stories about not getting the proper endorsements so they can have the DS-3025 for their AOS.

Don't be pennywise and pound foolish!

Ok so we’ll just see what they want him to get and pay for it and that should work?

Well I'll let you know tomorrow when I have my medical exam... I have heard if you have all the required vaccines they fill out that form and you don't have to do anything in the USA. So you actually save a lot of money! At the panel physician you have to pay about extra 100 dollars to complete your vaccinations but if you get them before this can be cheaper.

But I'll ask the physician tomorrow and I'll let you know!

Definitely interested to know. My fiancé’s shot record is lost and he doesn’t have a regular doctor to get titres from ahead of time 😬
