You should get it soon. Our appointment was for May 16th, but we did a walk in on the 6th, and they let us in. So that part is out of the way! Status changed this morning to "ready to schedule interview"!

We just got mail for biometrics appointment on 5/16/19

Dang, I just looked at a the copy of our I485 package, and noticed that the doctor did the same thing - checked the "immigrant..." box. I'm gonna go with playing dumb on this one

My credit card was charged! It looks like they finally got to the pile of applications from April 12th (I noticed we all had the same delivery day)! I've never been so happy to have a $1200 charge appear on my card...

Sent I-485, I-131, and I-765 to the lockbox on 4/18 via FedEx. Signed for on 4/19, received 3 texts on 4/22, showing all as received. Hard copy NOA for all three on 4/27.

I was originally predicted a NOA2 adjudication date of mid-May...the dates kept moving forwards until they ended up on 7th - 14th April...my petition was actually approved on 15th April (and we received the paper copy on 19th April).
 
The VJ estimates are based on people on here updating their timelines - the timeline for other people has sped up, so VJ estimates yours will too. It hopefully will do - though there’s no guarantee because unfortunately, they don’t always seem to be worked in exactly the order they come in - so it depends on the case worker that your petition has been assigned to.
 
In regards to why USCIS have speeded us, who can say? They got more staff/less applications/first to do 20 applications in a day wins a new blender incentive in the office...could be anything. But it’s definitely a positive, so don’t worry!

Nothing you can do but wait......and I would advise against using the "white guy" argument.

Just wanted to follow up on this post for future VJ searches.....we kept our original plan of having a land POE at Blaine/Peace Arch at the Washington/BC border.  Alec arrived from Auckland at YVR/Vancouver, and stated that he was staying in Canada for <1 day, and explained about the K-1.  No harassment or problems, but I was waiting in the terminal in case they wanted to confirm the plan to leave Canada by car straight away.  I had actually called the Canadian border folks a few days earlier, and they confirmed that there is no legislative directive regarding arriving from overseas on a one-way ticket.  My biggest fear was that Canadian immigration would question whether we were leaving by car in the absence of a ticket.
 
POE at Blaine was a piece of cake, also!  We were there for about 45 minutes total, which was amazing, given that our CBP officer was new and ours was his first K-1 to process!  We are so thankful that everything has been smooth sailing thus far. 

We had our interview yesterday (and we were approved! 🤗) and she said 10 working days, so that would be about 14 days total.  The embassy is only closed on the 25th of Dec and the 1st of Jan, but I don't know about the Correos, if the holidays will affect the delivery time.

We were approved on the 4th how about that? 😭😭😭 do you have any idea when the embassy goes on holidays? 

If your case has no red flags (warning signs or potential difficulties), this is something that you can undertake on your own with guidance from here.
 
The secret to your success during this entire process depends on your abilities to read forms & instructions accurately, interpret literally, and answer/respond completely and honestly.  It also really helps to become a serious student of the entire process, not just your current stage of it, so read voraciously and ask about things that might stump you.

So weird! For me, the old site shows my approval from 8/28/18, but from the new site I still get the email saying "still reviewing...no updates at this time" LOL.. My beneficiary's interview is Tuesday!
