Old Site vs. New Site?

Hey Everybody!

 

On Dec. 3rd I received an alert that my case had been approved for my K-1 Visa. Yes, I cried happy tears and jumped for joy!! I was first notified through the app. I had downloaded. I then went to the old site (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do) and saw the case was approved there too. However, I got a text and email today from the new site https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/, the first time I had received any notifications this way, saying that they are still reviewing my case and that it's still just "received." Which should I follow?

I have heard this before. I just found it comical that I finally started receiving texts and emails after five months of being enrolled for notifications.

The date on the physical notice that arrives in the mail box in a few days.   Should correspond to the approval that you have received

I'd go with the one stating you were approved. Unless it's some seriously messed up glitch with the system, I don't think you would be notified of an approval it wasn't legit. I don't really even know the point of the new site is, it doesn't seem to even work. Same thing happened to me. I got notified first on the case tracker app on my phone, then I checked the old site and the approval was there. New site still says "case was received". It's been 8 days since my approval and the new site still hasn't updated but I got the approval notice in the mail 2 days after the notification on my phone. I was surprised because I thought it would take a little longer to receive in the mail.

Haven't received the letter yet. It's been three days since my approval so that could be any day now. I just found it weird that I was sent an email telling me that last time my case was looked at was Nov. 22nd and it was still pending.  What I weird website...

Yeah the letter was probably just delayed since all federal gov't offices were closed yesterday for the day of mourning.

Our old site never updated 😂 the new site and app updated but we never recieved a single text or email. Oh USCIS....🙄😂

So weird! For me, the old site shows my approval from 8/28/18, but from the new site I still get the email saying "still reviewing...no updates at this time" LOL.. My beneficiary's interview is Tuesday!
