Evening Scan 5/9 (7:00pm CST)
Not much movement today, 15 cases total touched, no approvals in the scans today.
Could be another day of silent approvals or new-app only, who knows!
Again the bulk cases really are falling on the dates we've already seen them to be working on. The question is will they go "outwards" from there, or start back at the beginning soon?

For the purpose of the scans, it's received date, the old website.
So - you're on the 20th, which is good news for you as it's one of the dates they seem to be working on more actively at the moment

Every approved case brings those of us not yet approved closer, it doesn't matter if it's really an October case vs a November case. Every case approved, brings the pile being worked on or soon to be worked on down by 1.
The only person the October vs November case could possible affect is the person whose case it is and even then, only if they really want to know which scan their case is a part of. Nobody else is effected by that at all.
There's absolutely no need to be negative about someone sharing their good news. There's probably also no need to "feed the trolls" and respond directly to other people's negatively, it just creates drama.
On the one hand, I feel like I'd rather just walk away from drama, but on the other, I know people really look forward to the scans and I will keep doing them, despite the few cases of anxiety and tense back and forths that seem to be created.
I know everyone is anxious, but it does none of us any good to get upset about someone else being approved. It does no good to prove "I'm right, and you're wrong!" It changes nothing.
Let's just be happy for those who have got approved, and take comfort knowing that every approval is one more closer to our own case being the next one pulled out of a box.

I believe most of those 11/1 and 11/2 on there weer actually people who had 10/31 or 10/30 on the "old" website which is what the scans use, and they just put a later date. I know for a fact one of them is, because they posted here and then screenshotted it and their case number is with our October scans.
But, "new website" updates only / silent NOA2 is also certainly possible.

On 14 of 21 days they have touched at least 50% of the cases, that's comforting; but... only on the smallest day have they approved > 50% so far.
Still a lot of cases left to go though! How many total cases were there in October?

We've seen several examples now of Silent RFEs/Approvals, and very little movement on the website.
The graph didn't really change much, only 4 of the 6 updated cases were previously "Received". Seriously considering taking a break until Friday in the hopes everyone just relaxes a few days, rather than spend every day stressed, though I'm open to suggestions of giving you guys what you want.

but if she is approved she won’t have her passport right after the interview so she needs to wait till she gets it back.
only important note after receiving the passport with the visa on it: do not enter US soil even as transit.

So, interview... wait a few days for her passport + sealed packet to be returned. Don't open the packet. She can then travel from Ukraine to Turkey and back for a week, then I will go visit her and bring her back to the US.

My fiancee wants to plan a sort of last trip with her sister, to Turkey, before she moves to the USA.
Given current timelines, we might have our NOA2 and ability to finish the medical exam and interview before the planned date of the trip, but I was curious if she will not be able to use her passport or travel out of her country after the interview, before making the trip with me to the USA.
Any experience with that?
Do they take her passport at the interview, or any strange rules?
Ideally, I would like her to have the interview, wait the 5 days to get the package by courier with the visa, get to enjoy her trip with her sister, and then the following week she'd come to the US, but I will ask her to adjust timelines if necessary.

Isn't the US base considered US soil? There is probably a special process for this. Your husband should ask the appropriate advisors on the military base how to handle this scenario, or perhaps you guys should have waiting for the visa to the US until he was no longer stationed overseas.

Come join the rest of your October filers in this thread. there are almost daily updates about how many cases are being processed. They are working on October right now, but still a lot of cases to process. Be patient!

I remember telling myself a month or two ago "Okay, I think my approval will come in May, and I will be really happy with any approval in May" and here I am May 10th wishing it was today.... I need to remember I was planning to be very happy as long as it happens in May at all, and just be patient!
