So my case is saying this "On February 8, 2018, we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), Receipt Number WAC(removed), and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by March 10, 2018, please call the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address." and it hasn't changed in just over two months. is this normal? the receipt i got in the mail has no instructions on it jjust listed the personal info of my fiance which was all correct. and the receipt its a I-797C NOA if that helps

Absolutely normal... they are currently processing October and November cases for the most part right now, so you have a few more months to wait still. Be patient. See the individual threads by month.

    Hit a low point today.

Am so tired and frustrated with the wait. If there were any reasons or explanation given, I'd probably accept it better. But there is nothing at all but for my FI to check to call them (pointless) and check his mailbox everyday while I just refresh my email, app and the new site everyday.

253 days and they're playing us like this.

Have him contact his state senators office and have the senators office do the inquiry.

Hi everyone. We receive our NO2 last april 20, 2018 and we were supposed to get the Case number from NVC. We are waiting for like a month already for the case number. We called the NVC and says our papers is not there anymore. And have seen this on the USCIS website. Like “the post office returned the document to us and we will hold the document until 180 days.” Anyone had this? What to do? Its making me worry.

It generally means the address they have on file for you is wrong, and when they tried to deliver you something in the mail it got returned.

    Thanks for sharing!

We received an e-mail from USCIS said our case was received on the 29th of November.

But when I track the case, it says "On November 24, 2017, we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), "...

So which date should I be looking for? the 24th or the 29th...?

The 24th, for purposes of the scans as the scans use the old website / tracker.

hi i noticed that the inquiry date now is october 18.has anyone tried calling uscis when they exceeded their case inquiry date? and got approved few days after the day they call uscis?

were uscis call center nicer on answering if your date is already out of case inquiry date? or they will say the same speil?

I think you would have more success calling your state senator and having them submit an inquiry. Based on comments, it seems to generally result in a decision a week or so later vs people on the phones just getting frustrated.

    hey everyone

Soooooo I just downloaded the app for uscis case tracker and I was wondering does anyone know if it update your case (once approved) the same time the new website get updated?

The old and new websites are not in any way tied together. One or both or none might get updated, in any order.   I will say the trend, however, shows the new website tends to get updated overnight whereas the old website seemed to get updated throughout the day.

I think they're probly frustrated with the system themselves. A few years back a new system was installed at my office where we had to process every step we took on the case in a digital online environment so the customer could follow his application. But we had a system developed specifically for the work in my department that took us through all the steps of the application process, only it wasn't linked to the new system. None of us wanted to update two systems at the same time. So what happened was, we used the old system and only after adjudication we updated all the steps in the new online environment. I know, not very customer friendly, but that's human nature. We are creatures of habit.

I literally design business process management software systems for a living, I totally get it.  The problem is usually someone in "the business side" makes a decision to buy a new piece of software, the data exists somewhere else, and then those same business people decide they don't want to pay more to properly connect systems / databases. The IT people are told to just figure it out, but they aren't getting any more money to make it happen correctly.

The people doing the actual work are just cogs in the wheel doing a set of steps they've been told to do and suffer for it, and the end customers are also not happy because the system is now inefficient and prone to error.

Does anyone know if the uscis app updates you when they touched your case? like last time someone touch your file? i am a november 24th filer and i am not doing well with these recents update from november....

The problem is, I think it updates after they've saved it for the day or whatever, and I think most of the work once they do touch it is completed in the same session, so you're not normally going to get a series of "case was assigned" "case was opened" "case was..." though it does appear that the new website is designed to do more of that, but I haven't seen it in action enough to know.

The new site says they received my case on the 19th of November but the old one says the 16th so I'm not sure which is accurate, but i hope we can get an answer soon...I'm leaving tomorrow to go back to the states.

We use the old website date for the scans.. so you're lumped in with the 16th.

Don't know if it helped with our approval at all but I did have one of my states congresswoman's office call the USCIS.

Was approved 4 days later. It did help me feel like I was doing something. So maybe give a thought to calling your state senators or congress people.

Thanks, that's my plan if I happen to go past the Case Inquiry Date... hoping I don't have to wait that long.

Yes, they are still working on the remaining virgin accounts for October which I think is over 1600. Most likely 1/3 of those are silent and haven't been updated on either website.

Yes, we are all waiting missing our loved ones greatly and have special plans laid out for when they get here. I didn't see this coming otherwise I would flown to see my love again last month. I am trying to save my 4 weeks vacation for when my love gets here. Never give hope we will all get approved soon! God bless

Saving vacation is exactly what I am doing as well, to be able to take the time to go get her and escort her back, take the first week here off and help her get settled, and have enough for various appointments and visits we'll have to make the rest of the year.  I did visit in March for 1 week, and am loosely estimating she will be able to come in August, assuming I get approval sometime this month.

" silent approval " what are they? And or you just estimating the numbers for them? Like in your overall research numbers yesterday?

The are not included in the scans at all, though I did mention them during some analysis yesterday.

Silent approvals / Silent RFEs are ones people get that do not updated the old website, and therefore they are 'silent' to the scans.  So though the case might be approved, the scan might still show it received, since the old website isn't updated, and all scan data is taken from the old website.

Hello everyone, I just mailed off my I 129F and on my copy I realized I left question 54 blank as to describe how me and my fiancé met in the last two years because there wasn’t enough room. I checked ‘yes’ to question 53. What I did was provide a separate page with the page number, item number and part number signed and dated. I’m concerned because I left question 54 blank by accident and they will not accept my I 129F. What do you think? Thanks in advance.

    Larry

On ours, my lawyer simply wrote "please see attachment 54" and then we included a separated page labeled 54.

At worst, you'll just get an RFE, but hopefully they will see the labelled attachment and it won't even matter..

My petition was approved.  I submitted on 11 October 2017 and it was approved on 15 May 2018.  I contacted my senator a few weeks ago and received an email yesterday stating that his office contacted USCIS on the 13 May 2017.  So, I am not sure if the petition just ran its course or if my senator influenced the decision.   I am very disheartened by this entire experience.   I am a retired veteran, 20 years of active duty, 100% disabled due to combat related injuries and I have an infant son, 8 months old, with my fiance.  I just don't understand how my petition went past the normal processing time and why I was forced to contact my senator.  Anyway, good luck to everyone who is still waiting and I hope your day comes soon.

I have a friend of mine who was a July filer whose petition took 224 days to get approved. He also contacted his senator(s) and then had his approval just a couple days after that.

I think it's the best inquiry option as long as you wait until the inquiry date has passed to ask them to help you.

    Hey everybody!

I've been lurking for awhile and just thought I'd post since reading a post in this thread just encouraged me to check the new website. I don't know if it's helpful for others to know, but just in case :)

    NOA1: 11/24 old site, 11/29 new site

    NOA2: 5/14 new site

No updates on the old site, no text, no email.

I'm sorry to everyone that's been waiting longer than us, but your time has to be coming soon. I'm sure of it!

    Congrats!

just did a scan around my number and seen 3 approvals for the 1st of Nov.

Awesome! It's going to be a great day!

Can anyone tell me which date should be approved, as by new website our noa is November 22 and by the old one November 20, so which is correct??

For the purposes of "the scans" and apps people use, the 20th is the date we will see and you're included  in November 20th in our scans. Who knows when they will all be approved though! Good luck!

  17. 5 minutes ago, Naes said:

addition : in the scans it showed roughly 4000 cases as processed as approved during this quarter so about 1700 cases was silent noa2.(that makes 30%)

    ...

sorry i was away for a while.. finally finished my medical and gathered all the documents...now I wait (again) and hope everything will be alright :)

It's good to get some data that can confirm the 30% silent figure which I'd seen thrown out before.

In that case, October is probably about 80% done by now, as a fairly large portion of the 1600 left are probably silent NOA2s.

GOod luck with your upcoming interview!!!
