Does she have a Peoples Passport from Mongolia? The reciprocity states that is acceptable as an alternative to a birth certificate. Other than that, if she received this information from a government site they should be fine. Good Luck! https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Mongolia.html

Filed I130, got pregnant
Dashinka replied to yuyul's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
I agree, have your husband research CRBA as the child can be a USC through that route. It might be easier for you to run your pregnancy in your current home with Drs. You are familiar with rather than trying to find Drs. here. Good Luck! -
After I-130 approved?
Dashinka replied to Technicalglitch's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
Yes, travel during consular processing of an IV is possible with a B2, or ESTA, or with a Canadian passport, but each entry is at the discretion of CBP. If a person heading toward an IV shows a history of trying to live in the U.S., i.e. coming for the maximum stay, leaving for a few days/weeks, and then attempting to re-enter for another maximum stay visit, CBP will eventually catch on, and may not allow entry. For people in that position, it is generally recommended to make the visits shorter and make sure the time outside the U.S. is about double the time inside. -
Trump Appointees & Nominees
Dashinka replied to Crazy Cat's topic in Current Events and Hot Social Topics
Oh so tolerant. Trump Cabinet nominees, appointees targeted with ‘violent, unAmerican threats’ EXCLUSIVE: Nearly a dozen of President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet nominees and other appointees tapped for the incoming administration were targeted Tuesday night with "violent, unAmerican threats to their lives and those who live with them," prompting a "swift" law enforcement response, Fox News Digital has learned. The "attacks ranged from bomb threats to ‘swatting,’" according to Trump-Vance transition spokeswoman and incoming White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. Sources told Fox News Digital that John Racliffe, the nominee to be CIA director, Pete Hegseth, the nominee for secretary of defense, and Rep. Elise Stefanik, the nominee for UN ambassador, were among those targeted. "Last night and this morning, several of President Trump’s Cabinet nominees and administration appointees were targeted in violent, unAmerican threats to their lives and those who live with them," she told Fox News Digital on Wednesday. "In response, law enforcement acted quickly to ensure the safety of those who were targeted. President Trump and the entire Transition team are grateful for their swift action." https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-cabinet-nominees-appointees-targeted-violent-unamerican-threats -
I also prefer the spousal visa route. As to what waiver you will need, that is hard to tell based on your story. Why would there be a 5 yr. bar?

Banda voted BBC Women's Footballer of the Year
Dashinka replied to Boiler's topic in Current Events and Hot Social Topics
They will keep women’s football, but it will become essentially a men’s B-league. -
Best to start by reading the guide linked below. You will want to file the adjustment of status forms I485/I864 and if desired, I131/I765 as soon as you can. If your now wife wants to take your family name by marriage, fill out her I485 with that name desired on the GC. I am not sure if you can do the same thing on your step-daughter’s form, others may know better. I probably would not waste time filing the I765 for your step-daughter unless she is over 16 and may want to see about working since that form adds cost now. Lastly unless there is more than 2-3 weeks of validity left on their authorized stay from the K entries, you will need to wait to get an SSN. Good Luck!

How to file I 130?
Dashinka replied to csh2020's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
Most do the I130 online now. Good Luck! -
So Democrats support child trafficking apparently. 2-year-old migrant girl picked up at the border tells cops she’s come to US alone to find her parents The child from El Salvador, clad in a bright pink jacket, was among a group of more than 200 illegal migrants — including 60 unaccompanied minors — detained after crossing the border into Maverick County, Texas, authorities said. Footage of the little girl outraged pols in sanctuary city New York and beyond who ripped President Biden and “border czar” Vice President Kamala Harris over the nation’s immigration debacle. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/2-year-old-migrant-girl-tells-cops-she-s-come-to-us-alone-to-find-her-parents/ar-AA1uIFqO?ocid=BingNewsSerp

Yes, include an explanation as to why you were not required to file taxes for those two years. Good Luck! -
Different name on current Passport VS an old valid US visa
Dashinka replied to Prat0402's topic in Tourist Visas
If he has a birth certificate or some other legal document that shows the proper names it won't hurt, but more than likely no one at CBP will ask for it. Good Luck! -
If you are currently inside the US and can swing your Canadian spouse not working or leaving the US for several months, you can legally adjust status. If you are not currently inside the US then that is not an option. The fastest method is direct consular filing with exceptional circumstances, but not everyone meets those requirements. Good Luck!

Is greencard still valid
Dashinka replied to neel06's topic in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America
If their GCs are still valid, they can come back. They may face additional questions at the POE about maintaining residency in the U.S., or why they have been absent for so many years, but CBP cannot take away anyone’s LPR status. If they do come back tell them not to sign anything at the POE such as an I407. If their GCs are no longer valid or expired, they would need to file an I90 prior to trying to come back. -
This is very common. Verbal approval is just that, and it is not legally binding. Assuming based on your post the consulate did not request any additional documents, all you can do now is wait. AP in Pakistan can be lengthy since the consulates do not accept police certificates from there, so it may take a while to complete background checks. Good Luck!

Overseas travel after Green Card
Dashinka replied to OlamAfruz's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Nice she gets her GC and there are plans for extended stays outside the U.S. for more than 12 months, she should apply for a re-entry permit (also the I131 form) after she gets her GC, but before leaving. Your future plans should not impact her getting a GC as long as you have proof you intend to maintain residency in the U.S.. The biggest impact will be to future naturalization (maintaining continuous residency) if she plans to take that route. Good Luck! -
Can I change jobs after i send I-129F Form?
Dashinka replied to baphamet's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Possibly, hard to say, but people change jobs all the time. If you show a good history of working, and meet the financial requirements, I would not hold off bettering yourself employment wise. Worst case scenario, the consulate requests a joint sponsor. -
Some eye opening facts and calculations. People do understand that batteries do not actually generate electricity. The Home-Based Battery Storage Fantasy In the U.S., a typical residential household consumes around 10,800 kWh annually, or about 30 kWh per day. Of course, the amount varies depending on the size of home, the region of the country, and the season of the year. With electrified space and water heat, some regions of the country where electricity demand now peaks in summer will see demand peak in winter, while existing winter-peaking regions will see winter demand spike even further. According to a U.S. Department of Energy model, a heat pump in a typical home will consume about 5,500 kWh annually. That alone represents a 50% increase in electricity use. Charging a typical EV adds another 4,300 kWh annually. In total, those will add almost 10,000 kWh of consumption annually, roughly doubling current consumption to about 60 kWh per day, although the increase will be greatest in winter when heating loads peak. Supplying the additional electricity while ensuring the same level of service reliability (i.e., no extended outages or limiting consumers’ access to electricity because of insufficient supplies) will require enough battery storage to provide electricity at night and over multi-day periods when there is little wind and sun available to recharge those batteries. Although the article recommends using consumers’ EVs to supply electricity, few consumers will likely wish to wake up to an uncharged EV and an inability to travel, especially if there is no stored electricity available to recharge their EVs. Using the U.S. consumption averages, if existing local distribution systems can serve today’s average load of 30 kWh/day, then enough battery storage must be built to supply the remaining 30 kWh. and, more importantly, the peak power demand of electric heat pumps and EV chargers. A typical Level 2 home EV charger, for example, can draw 20 kilowatts (kW). A heat pump can draw 7 kW. The largest Tesla Powerwall, which is designed for home use, provides a maximum of 11.5 kW of power and 13.5 kWh of storage under ideal conditions. (When temperatures fall, so does battery capacity and efficiency.) Hence, at least three Powerwall units would be required to provide a typical home with sufficient electricity to supplement existing grid capacity. For one million homes, that means three million Powerwall units providing a maximum of 40.5 million kWh (40,500 megawatt-hours) of battery storage. https://www.realclearenergy.org/articles/2024/11/21/the_home-based_battery_storage_fantasy_1073913.html

Can I change jobs after i send I-129F Form?
Dashinka replied to baphamet's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
You don’t send the I134 with the I129F, the I134 comes later when the interview occurs. You are free to change jobs throughout the process, but if a job change occurs after you send the I134, you will need to change that form. Good Luck!
