Yep, they messed up. We recently ordered a book through Amazon and received a box full of Fresh Wyoming Air (upvote to anyone that recognizes this movie reference). Regardless, Amazon made it good and we received our book a few days later.

As you know each entry on a B2/ESTA is at the discretion of CBP, but if you have a history of playing by the rules, don't show up with all your worldly possessions, have proof of your need to return in 10 days, and answer the CBP officer's questions truthfully, you should not have any issues. Sorry, I was in a hurry, I meant that many consulates prefer IRS transcripts. The same could probably be said of USCIS, but I have seen more stories of beneficiaries getting RFEs for transcripts at the consulate stage than at a USCIS interview for say AOS.

She should have copies of the documents. Also, I suggest getting IRS tax transcripts instead of returns, many consulates prefer them. Good Luck!

Not really sure anyone can say with all certainty that this could not be cause for denial. Back when my now wife and I were going through the K1 process, we met twice before applying, and I was also in the room when she was being interviewed at the US Consulate in Moscow. It helped as she was definitely asked about the ongoing relationship and the fact that I was there supporting her seemed to be in our favor. I will agree that a denial is unlikely with only one visit (particularly in a low fraud country like the UK) if they have a lot of proof of an ongoing relationship, and there are no other red flags, but each interview can result in more headaches for the beneficiary and petitioner depending on the CO.

I will echo the above comments. When entering on a K1, it is best to do the SSN as soon as possible since it will help with so many other things a newly married couple needs to do such as co-mingling their lives. As mentioned, there are other routes to a SSN, but these are less desirable for a K1 entrant. Btw, going to an SSA office is not that bad, just don't plan on going first thing in the morning.

I agree, if one is here legally, and has documents proving that such as the NOA from an I485 filing they should be fine.

As always, patience is a virtue when it comes to immigration, and USCIS. 2. Your case is currently at a service center, and they issued the RFE, so this is where the response goes. Once your case is transferred to your local office, then that entity will take over, and if they issue an RFE for any reason, you would respond to their desired address. I hope that makes sense. 3. If USCIS finds new issues, they will send you a new RFE, and allow for you to respond. Denial would only come from not responding to any RFE’s or at the end if an interviewing officer (and their supervisor if necessary) determines there is grounds for denial. Good Luck!

Ok, quite a bit to unpack here. You can get married here in the US with him coming with ESTA, but he cannot enter the US with the intent to stay and adjust status. Therefore your only option is to get married then you as the USC file the I130 so your spouse can eventually get a CR1/IR1 spousal visa (this may take 1.5-2.5 years). Then you mentioned the goal of dual citizenship. Once your foreign spouse gets their spousal visa, and activates their GC, they will need to live in the US for 3 years as a legal permanent resident before they can apply for US citizenship. So overall, you are looking at a 5-6 year endeavor. You can start by researching and becoming a student of the spousal visa process (guide linked below). To start the process, you need to be married, and that can happen anywhere. Good Luck!

Did you already receive your passport? The naturalization certificate is returned separately, and sometimes that can take a while to make its way through the mail. I know it is a pain as you want to wrap up your name change on other documents, but give it more time before you decide to file an N565 to replace your certificate. Good Luck!

WFH is really dependent on the situation of the individual. In my case, I can be very productive at home as I do not have any distractions such as small children, or other things. I did a study with some co-workers, and the results were mixed. I would say about 85% of those surveyed from my office wanted flexibility to WFH when needed, and the other 15% were either complete in office (too many distractions at home, having a need for some human contact, etc.), or complete WFH (no point going to the office to sit and look at their screen). I myself fall into the 85% as there is some value with in person collaboration, but there are a lot of tools if that is not possible. I like the flexibility, for instance today, we got 3-5 inches of snow in the AM, so why get on the roads to the office taking an extra 30-60 minutes to get to the office. Instead I was able to start working around 5am, and am now just taking a short break. I suggested to my wife that she should WFH today, but she decided to head to the office, it took her an extra 1.5 hrs to get there, essentially crawling at 25 mph. There is a bit of hypocrisy with the senior leadership at large global companies. They preach in person collaboration, but when it comes to collaborating with colleagues on the other side of the planet, we cannot travel there (even once or twice a year), but instead must use our collaboration tools provided by IT.
