  1. Thank you! i appreciate this so much. yes, we have been reading more about this and seems like we are going thru the 319b. I have a question tho, when do you suggest we file for it. before or after we are already overseas? we'll be leaving in September, so that's on roughly 2.5 mos from now.
  2. Hi! do you have any information/knowdlege if I should also file for N470 (Application to Preserve Residence for naturalization purposes)? If yes, how soon do I file? before or after we live the US?
  3. Thank you! This is a big help as I have not seen this on the website earlier. We will read about it. Thank you!
  4. Hi everyone! 😊 I hope you're all doing well. I just wanted to ask for a bit of advice and share my situation. I arrived in the U.S. last August on a K1 visa and got married shortly after. We applied for Adjustment of Status (AOS) this past January, along with Advance Parole, and I just received my Green Card today! We didn’t realize at first that it would only be valid for 2 years since we’ve only been married for a short time. We’re set to PCS to Okinawa this September for 3 years, and I’m already included in my husband’s orders. I was hoping someone here might be able to help me with a few questions: Is it okay to PCS overseas for 3 years with a 2-year conditional Green Card? When can we file for Removal of Conditions to get the 10-year Green Card? Is there any way to speed up the process? Is filing for Removal of Conditions really required, or can we just contact USCIS to amend it? Since we’ll be stationed outside the U.S., is it possible to apply for citizenship before my conditional Green Card expires? I’ve heard that spouses of military members stationed overseas may be able to apply for expedited naturalization. Thank you so much in advance to anyone who can share their experience or offer advice! 💛
  5. Did you use it for travel or only for emergency purposes only? I agree with the other user regarding Trump and his shenanigans thats happening.
  6. No. not an emergency. asking because we wanted to travel and go on a vacation outside US before we move. It has been a stressful year so hoping that we can de-stress a little. We filed AOS last January and i got my EAD combo card last Feb. My husband is an active duty service member and we have to move overseas within this year. My GC is still under review. I have read that there won't be problem with going out but as we have to stay overseas for 3yrs I hope GC would be ready by the time we have to come back.
  7. Hi all! Hope everyone has been getting updates for this cases. I just wanted to ask if anyone here has filed for the I-131, Application for Travel Document ? The agent through Emma ( USCIS online support chat ) says that my EAD card is a combo of I-765 and I-131. Which I have also read on the notice that it is, but it is also does not guarantee of re-entry (i must be mistaken or read it wrong). Has anyone traveled outside of US while waiting for their green card and re-entered US using the EAD combo card? it says on my card " SERVES AS I-512 ADVANCE PAROLE".
  8. Hi! I did my biometrics last 2/14 and just 2/22 i got my EAD card and my SSN came in yesterday. I can finally work! Thank you for the advise/help!
  9. Thank you! Appreciate it. Hopefully mine wont take long as well.
  10. I got the code from Emma and the mail with the code came a day after lol. Anyway, they have scheduled me already for biometrics. And then I just have to wait after that right?
  11. thank you! its been almost 2 weeks so i will try and check with emma
  12. already did. looks like we filled almost at the same time
  13. Hi Everyone! We have finally mailed our Adjustment of status petition and as of early this morning I have received a text msg that USCIS has received our case with the receipt number. 1. Now I was trying to add the receipt numbers on my uscis account but it is asking me for an access code. I believe this will be on the Official receipt notice they will send in the mail, right? if not where can i get this access code? 2. So aside for the GC, we also applied for the Employment authorization and travel authorization. What do I do in the meantime? Do I have to prepare any documents? What is the next step after this? 3. My husband is also an active duty military member and we got orders to move overseas within this year. Is there a way that we can expedite our petition? Do we have to do or prepare anything on or before we move? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  14. Hi all! Im taking a long shot here but hoping somebody can help. So we dont have a lot of legal documents with both are names i.e : Deed to property showing both names Mortgage or loan documents showing both names Lease agreement showing both names Driver’s licenses or IDs showing the same address Bank statements showing both names Utility bills showing both names (electricity, water, gas, trash, cable, internet, cell phone, etc.) Correspondence from friends, family, or businesses showing both names We only have my husbands updated life insurance, medical insurance with my name and an updated Emergency Data document from the DoD with my name on it too. We are filing our AOS through rapid visa and they are asking for: Explanation letter signed by the Petitioner why there is limited proof of bona fide evidence of marriage. It must be notarized. In addition, we will need both of your signed comprehensive letters that include a statement/narration about your relationship (how you met, got engaged, details about your marriage, and future plans)—signed and prepared individually to support the bona fide marriage evidence. Just a signed statement from both and doesn't need to be notarized. Anyone has a sample for this two I can maybe get an idea of what to write? would be a big help! TIA!
  15. Another question... if anyone have an idea regarding this. Would really appreciate the feedback / info. As mentioned above we have been going back and forth with rapidvisa people (they are srsly getting on my nerves) regarding the medical exam. They have sent us an email today and have mentioned that we can get the Immigration medical exam via authorized military physician. But upon calling them to clarify this, they still havent given us a clear answer. I have laso read in the USCIS website that it can be done. Just wondering if anyone has gone through the same and what did you do? Would really like to go to a base medical to save some money.
