  1. I'm filling out my affidavit of support and I'm on page 4 where it wants me to calculate my household size. It says: - Enter the number of persons you are sponsoring (just sponsoring my wife, so that's 1) - Yourself (that's 1) - If you are married enter 1 for your spouse (that's 1) Then it adds up to 3, but really it's only 2 people. Which one do I leave empty, so I have the correct number of people?
  2. What I've read on the instructions for the I-693 is that even if you got your exam before a year is up, you still have to submit an i-693 form but you only need to do sections 1-5 and 7 instead of the whole thing.
  3. Yes we got it. She took it to the immigration office in Durban to get it fixed. She is here in America now.
  4. Have you seen any examples of a visa having only a week or two for the expiration date after the issue date?
  5. It's not that we want to wait, but medical was February 2nd. If the visa does expire on August 2nd then we have to buy plane tickets now which are running upwards of $3000 instead of getting them in two or three weeks when they are much cheaper.
  6. I believe I read that the visa is supposed to expire 6 months after the medical exam, but my fiancee just got her visa in hand and the expiration date is in December despite her medical exam being in February (so I thought it would've expired in August). Does she really have until December or should she be making plans to leave ASAP?
  7. At the time, it was a safe space for her. She had a falling out with the landlord there and that's why she had to leave. I was reading the delivery info on the ais website. It looks like they will only drop off the package if she is actually there or if someone who has been authorized and has a copy of her identification is there and will sign for it. If not, they bring it back to the nearest DHL store. I'm just hoping that is true. We just want to get it at the DHL store anyway.
  8. Yeah we chose to have it shipped to her address but she is no longer living there It's a dangerous area. That's why she left.
  9. My fiancee's visa was just issued, but she no longer lives at the house where we set up home delivery. It doesn't seem like there's anyway to change the delivery address. What do we do?
  10. Is it possible to transfer the case to a different embassy even after the interview?
  11. I'm really stressing now. Over the past month, we've emailed them four times and called twice and they will not expedite nor let us come get the passport back. They just tell us to keep waiting.
