  1. Hmm, I suspect a new Trump indictment coming soon. Interesting how these were all distributed to various LLCs amongst the Family. Every family needs 20+ LLCs when they are involved in political corruption I guess. Bank records show millions in foreign payments to Hunter Biden, associates while father was VP House investigators have released bank records that document how the Biden family and their associates collected millions of dollars from Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine oligarchs while Joseph R. Biden was serving as vice president. The bank records, obtained by the House Oversight and Accountability Committee and provided to The Washington Times, confirm testimony from two IRS whistleblowers and Biden associate Devon Archer that millions of dollars flowed to Hunter Biden around the time his father met with the oligarchs as vice president. In total, the Oversight Committee has identified more than $20 million paid to Hunter Biden and his business associates that was distributed to 10 Biden family members, including President Biden‘s grandchildren. https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2023/aug/9/bank-records-document-foreign-payments-hunter-bide/
  2. Don't mess with Big Pharma particularly when it relates to the Covid ineffective jabs. University president steps down after stirring backlash for liking tweets from prominent conservatives These tweets included ones critical of Big Pharma, the COVID-19 vaccine and some transgender medical procedures. According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, which reported on the school president’s "like" history shortly before the school reprimanded him for it, Tykocinski had "liked" over 30 posts from Berenson, a journalist who has been critical of COVID-19 safety protocols and the vaccines. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/university-president-steps-down-after-stirring-backlash-for-liking-tweets-from-prominent-conservatives/ar-AA1eYElY
  3. You are right, if these incompetents resign, more than likely Old Corrupt Joe will just replace them with something worse (kind of like wishing for Old Corrupt Joe to resign, knowing full well his replacement will be Kackling Kamala). It is disheartening though to see that no one in the DC bureaucracy is ever held accountable.
  4. Yep, the Gov. of Mass, saw how much federal money NYC was going to get, so decided they needed their share.
  5. Ahh, progress! Gavin Newsom wants to make America Oakland https://hotair.com/tree-hugging-sister/2023/08/08/gavin-newsom-wants-to-make-america-oakland-n569960
  6. Might belong in the Biden Tanking America thread as well considering the close ties to Biden's corrupt Energy Secretary, Jenny from the Block. I also believe both Old Corrupt Joe, and Kackling Kamala have promoted this company. Biden-backed electric vehicle company files for bankruptcy At the time of the tour, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm held between $1 million and $5 million in stock of the electric vehicle company, The Washington Free Beacon reported, prompting ethics concerns and calls for her divestment. Granholm raked in $1.6 million in profit after selling hundreds of thousands of shares in May 2021, months after she had first pledged to do so. She served on Proterra’s board from February 2017 until just before her Senate confirmation hearing in January 2021. https://nypost.com/2023/08/08/biden-backed-electric-vehicle-company-files-for-bankruptcy/
  7. Joe’s Bidenomics victory tour is a bust on Day One But Biden’s slurring, disjointed speech might have reminded viewers of the “authentic frontier gibberish” accolade from the 1974 movie “Blazing Saddles.” Biden couldn’t decide whether the Grand Canyon was one of the nine wonders of the world or one of the seven wonders of the world. Bidenomics is a hard sell because consumer prices have increased almost 17% since the president took office, real wages have fallen 4%, and interest rates are at their highest level in 22 years. Team Biden has no alternative except to “lie louder” — the same tactic that’s insulated it with the media since 2021. https://nypost.com/2023/08/08/joes-bidenomics-victory-tour-is-a-bust-on-day-one/
  8. Not really surprising. The first move the Corrupt Biden Administration did was end our energy independence, so why not force our dependence on states like Russia, or China for things like uranium.
  9. This is usually how it works, the Democrats make an accusation to cover something they themselves is doing. Many folks believe that Nancy Pelosi green lit the first impeachment due to Trump getting too close to the truth. Does Ukraine Have Kompromat on Joe Biden? It's a much more reasonable question about Joe Biden than it ever was when posed as a certainty about Trump. After all, Hunter Biden was paid many millions of dollars by the shady Ukrainian energy firm Burisma, despite having no qualifications for the job that anyone could point to beyond being the son of the Vice President at the time—which proved fortunate when his father fired the general prosecutor of Ukraine, Viktor Shokin, who had begun an investigation into the Burisma-Hunter gravy train. And yet, in obvious contrast with their obsession with Russia's kompromat on Trump, the mainstream media has lined up to dismiss the corruption allegations against Biden as a nothingburger. This has been no easy feat, and yet the media has valiantly obliged, arguing repeatedly that Hunter Biden was paid by Burisma for reasons that had nothing to do with the fact that his father was the Vice President at the time overseeing U.S. relations with Ukraine—and that Joe did not have any knowledge of his son's highly lucrative business dealings. And they would have you believe Vice President Biden fired Shokin because Shokin was corrupt. https://www.newsweek.com/does-ukraine-have-kompromat-joe-biden-opinion-1818052
  10. I think your hypothetical is referencing requesting a consulate process the I130 with exceptional circumstances (commonly referred to as DCF). This is a non-exhaustive list of exceptional circumstances that a consulate may consider to accept a DCF case. Many people fall under a short-term job relocation. Good Luck! Exceptional Circumstances Examples of exceptional circumstances include: Military emergencies – A U.S. service member, who is abroad but who does not fall under the military blanket authorization for U.S. service members stationed abroad on military bases, becomes aware of a new deployment or transfer with little notice. This exception generally applies in cases where the U.S. service member is provided with exceptionally less notice than normally expected. Medical emergencies – A petitioner or beneficiary is facing an urgent medical emergency that requires immediate travel. Threats to personal safety – A petitioner or beneficiary is facing an imminent threat to personal safety. For example, a petitioner and beneficiary may have been forced to flee their country of residence due to civil strife or natural disaster and are in precarious circumstances in a different country outside of the United States. Close to aging out – A beneficiary is within a few months of aging out of eligibility. Petitioner has recently naturalized – A petitioner and family member(s) have traveled for the immigrant visa interview, but the petitioner has naturalized and the family member(s) requires a new petition based on the petitioner’s citizenship. Adoption of a child – A petitioner has adopted a child abroad and has an imminent need to depart the country. This type of case should only be considered if the petitioner has a full and final adoption decree on behalf of the child and the adoptive parent(s) has had legal custody of and jointly resided with the child for at least 2 years. Short notice of position relocation – A U.S. citizen petitioner, living and working abroad, has received a job offer in or reassignment to the United States with little notice for the required start date. https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-6-part-b-chapter-3
  11. The consulate may or may not answer a simple inquiry about DCF, YMMV. Here is a thread about DCF under exceptional circumstances that helps a lot. Good Luck!
  12. Democrats do in fact want complete power, a re-written constitution, and single Party rule. Hmm, that cannot go badly. It will be interesting to see how it all shakes out, but maybe a peaceful break-up of the US is warranted. One side can take the Constitution and continue the plan of the Founding Fathers, and the other side can continue to follow their Marxist ideology.
  13. I guess you get what you vote for, but who would have thought the voters in Chicago would vote for someone worse than Lightfoot.
  14. I tend to agree with this father. I am glad Rep. Issa gave these folks a voice. (to the mods, I realize this is an old thread, but this new story seems to fit best here. If you wish to move it to another thread or make it a separate thread, I am fine with that as well) Fallen Marine’s Father at Rep. Issa Event: Biden, Brass ‘Need to Resign Immediately’ Hoover didn’t mince words at the Escondido City Council chambers event. He called out Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark Milley, other Marine brass and “ultimately the president.” “Do what our son did,” Hoover said. “Be a grown-### man. Admit to your mistakes. Learn from them so this doesn’t happen ever, ever again. You all need to resign immediately.” https://timesofsandiego.com/military/2023/08/07/fallen-marines-father-at-rep-issa-event-biden-brass-need-to-resign-immediately/
  15. Not sure about the I751 question, but I believe if everyone enters together they can be included on one I751, but you may need to pay a biometrics fee for everyone. As to traveling with the extension letter, yes it can be a pain especially if traveling by air. My wife always kept a copy of the CBP Carrier Guide with her in case she needed to educate an airline clerk. In your case, entering via a land crossing, it should be easier since you are only dealing with CBP directly and they should be familiar, but if not, show them their carrier guide page 13. Good Luck! https://www.cbp.gov/sites/default/files/assets/documents/2019-Mar/2019 Carrier Information Guide - ENGLISH.pdf
  16. Personally I enjoy the change of scenery by going into the office as I stated earlier even though when working at home, I tend to work longer hours and can be a bit more productive, but I do value face-to-face collaboration at times. I think for the most part in many areas we will end up in a hybrid situation.
  17. Makes sense. ‘Traitor’ Bowe Bergdahl must face justice for his crimes Instead, an estimated eight Americans were killed and dozens seriously wounded in militant-occupied areas attempting to locate the deserter. Obama announced in 2014 that he had secured the release of Bergdahl — by exchanging five senior Taliban from Guantanamo Bay. I was furious over Obama’s Rose Garden ceremony touting such a lopsided and dangerous deal for a man we knew had betrayed his country and his fellow soldiers. Then-National Security Advisor Susan Rice claimed Bergdahl had served with "honor and distinction." Notably, four of the five Taliban prisoners exchanged went on to become senior officials in the Taliban’s totalitarian dictatorship in Afghanistan. I was the first veteran to go on national television and proclaim that Bergdahl was not a hero but rather a traitor. https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/traitor-bowe-bergdahl-must-face-justice-crimes
  18. The title is a little off as the article even says extremist on both sides are doing things like this. I certainly do not condone anyone attacking infrastructure or emergency services. The fact that the Far Left is responsible for the majority of attacks on emergency services though really grinds me. As a former firefighter myself, I can say it is abhorrent to attack police, fire, EMS services when they are trying to respond to an emergency, but whatever. I was curious why they included a couple of attacks where no one was found such as the one near Silicon Valley. It seems the authors want to include these as far Right attacks, but we know there are many violent extremist activist, particularly in environmentalist community, that use the same tactics. Whatever, we can agree that attacks by far Right and far Left are bad, beyond that, it is just political to dismiss one (for the most part) and focus on the other.
  19. I think we are getting close to a parity point again where either parent staying at home to watch the kids might be cheaper than paying for daycare. Of course there are other cultural factors involved, but cost is a big factor.
  20. When you file the I130, you only need to provide proof you are qualifying relatives such as providing both your and your siblings birth certificates showing you have the same parents. The affidavit of support will come much much later at the NVC stage when the petition is sent to the consulate for an eventual visa interview. How old is your sibling? If they are relatively young (under 10) it might be best to sponsor one parent, and then have them get their LPR status and they can petition for the other spouse and child under F2A which is currently running about 6-8 years.
  21. Leor Sapir has it right to be concerned about whatever comes out of the AAP. This is one where Europe is far ahead of the US. Second Thoughts on ‘Gender-Affirming Care’ But it is a small step. Two key questions: Will the systematic review follow a transparent, impartial scientific process? And what should the AAP do in the meantime? In explaining the decision to commission a systematic review, the AAP’s CEO, Mark Del Monte, said that the academy’s board “has confidence that the existing evidence is such that the current policy is appropriate. At the same time, the board recognized that additional detail would be helpful here.” Given the finding of every existing systematic review to date that the evidence for “gender-affirming care” is exceptionally weak, the AAP should immediately recommend extreme caution in the use of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and surgeries in treating youth gender dysphoria. This is a no-brainer; health authorities in the U.K., Norway, Sweden, Finland and France have done it. “There is not enough evidence to support the safety, clinical effectiveness and cost effectiveness to make the treatment routinely available at this time,” said the statement from England’s National Health Service. https://www.wsj.com/articles/second-thoughts-on-gender-affirming-care-american-academy-pediatrics-doctors-review-medicine-a7173276?mod=opinion_lead_pos9
  22. I can see that being a big deal especially with a lot of remote workers returning to the office and in need of childcare. Makes it tough for those that are not able to work remotely, although I suppose a lot of patients wouldn't mind having dental work done online.
  23. Not a real good idea to get any tickets before a decision is made on the visa. The main things she will need is evidence of her ties to her home country to show she needs to return after her visit. I am not positive if they deep dive financials for a B2 like they do for say a student visa.
