My impression is do the letter only if you get an RFE.  I would write what you wrote here.  You had a job situation and it threw you off.  But, it sounds like it will just be processed as is. 

Well, I scanned for people's experiences who filed late. 100% had their application processed and approved as usual.  One person was 3 months late, got approved without so much as an RFE. 
 
I know we all worry when it's our own case and lives, but I think you have nothing to worry about. 

It is actually against this sites Terms of Service to tell posters not to reply to a post. But I understand why you stated what you did.
 
But one of the reasons that other posters repeat the same information is for verification of the previous posts. Sometimes it takes an OP a few replies or a reply from a more senior/experienced member for them to understand their options. Sometimes other members have a better or more informative responses than others. But mostly it is confirmation and collective agreement on the advice given.

My husband works for the government.  He can be fired for putting an unknown USB device in a work computer (one of the few reasons he can be fired to be honest.) He has to use his security keycard to even make his computer operate!  They track every keystroke.  (Sounds like something the OP would do as well since they record everything... )

Maybe you could pay more attention to advice given and start accepting criticism.

You have to file either married filing separately or married filing jointly for your tax returns.

This is wrong and surprisingly a large number of people think is ok to file taxes as single when they are married to immigrants.. 
 
Your martial status is married so you file as married. 

Well she wouldn't put any income but you still have to put your spouse name on your taxes since you're married and you're not eligible to file as single. 
 
 

Joint assets and liabilities are only 1 type of evidence. Have you received a NOID or denial stating this is the only reason for being denied? It sounds like there are a number of aspects, of which the lack of commingling of finances is just one item. Many people go through the process without shared accounts.
 
Taxes can be filed MFS or MFJ (or HOH with a non-spouse dependent). You could get an EAD by filing an I-765 with your AOS application. The EAD lets you get an SSN. Otherwise, you can apply for an ITIN until you become eligible for the SSN.
The credit card thing is a bit iffy. It sounds like she is an authorized user, not an owner. An authorized user has access to the credit the account provides, but has no liability. An owner is responsible for the account as well.
 
Since when is an SSN required for a lease? I added my fiancee the day after she arrived in the US on her K-1 without any issue at all. They needed her passport to do a background check and verify identity, but that doesn't do any immigration checks (no hits in the SAVE database).
Letters and affidavits carry very little to no weight. USCIS wants to see hard evidence. For a common residence, this can be something like mail. I'm unsure of how to show this for a hotel, but living out of a hotel for 7 months isn't exactly a typical thing for newlyweds either. Basically, they have no hard proof that she actually stayed there...just statements from people they don't know and can't verify.
 
I don't know the extend of the other evidences, but there are definitely some concerning gaps. If issued a NOID, it will include the reason they intend to deny and you can respond to the specific items noted at that time and include additional evidence. If they send a denial, you can appeal if you believe they denied it due to an error.

That's fine that you believe the explicit content is stronger than other forms of proof, but you need to convince the IO. They care about the other stuff and not at all about the explicit content.

I'd suggest keeping your posts shorter next time. Trust me, no one wants to read that much stuff and it's hard to respond. 
 
Imo you mostly got denied  because they suspected that instead of using spouse visa you skipped the law and adjusted from torusit visa - and they didn't like it. Maybe that's why they required more proofs from you. 
 
There is whole bunch of stuff new immigrant can do to show joint assets by the way.

As for taxes you could have just filed married but separate. I don't think ssn 
Would be needed. There is some other alien tax number that I currently don't remember how it's called.

Go here and click on file online now. Don't do it on some third party website that charges you extra.

Fill it out yourself for free at the link posted above.  The system will tell you all you need to know about the supporting documents.  You can pay your fee by credit card at the end.

My impression has been that this is considered a minor tack on issue so I doubt a well prepared waiver would not be approved.

Get a lawyer and don't make him beg for every detail. 
 

Yes you can! My husband got his passport in one day las December for our trip to our home country for Christmas. You just call and make an appointment. Must bring proof of travel like an itinerary and that is it.

You can apply for passport at Passport Agency, and it only took 1-2 day. Here the link:

I never received my oath letter, online in the documents tab or in the mail. Since the interviewing officer told me my ceremony would be May 15 (this Tuesday) I called the number yesterday, punched in the secret code to get a live person and they ended up faxing me the letter for the ceremony. So, Tuesday is the big day!

You were denied because you didn't qualify under the marriage 3 year rule. Don;t know what you investigated but it was wrong. You filed too early for 5 year need to wait that 4 months.
 
So when your 5 years as a LPR comes up you are eligible to file.
 

I dont think you are eligible under 3 yr rule since you disnt get your green card through marriage. Looks like you filed under wrong category. You should have filed under 5 yr rule.
