I would recommend that you call USCIS to resolve this and find out what is going on.  It may take a lot of time to call and get through to a real person, but RFEs have fairly short deadlines for response, typically three months or less, so time is of the essence.  When you get through to a real person, confirm your mailing address in their system, as the RFE may have been sent to an old incorrect address.  Good luck!

It may indeed. I wouldn't imagine that the embassy staff just sit around and wait for you to submit additional documentation. They likely close your file, and open up the next file and start working on the next file. As previously mentioned, it is a good sign that they kept the passport.   Again......Patience.....

If you want to be productive while you are waiting, you could  it is currently vacant. This helps everyone that uses, or is helped by the forum. The stats give VJ data more relevance.

Trust the process. Millions move along through with little or no delay or denial. Just my experience.

Hopefully USCIS will let the OP do this at the AOS interview. It certainly would be cheaper than filing a Form I-90 after the documents are received. 👍 Changing the name on the SSN can be tricky, some SSA offices will do it after seeing the marriage certificate, others may additionally require the EAD or GC. I think that a lot depends on the validity days left on your I-94.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

    You are overthinking it.

The purpose of all caps, especially when hand writing it in, is for legibility and to avoid any confusion in being able to read it. For a typed form, it doesnt really matter, though for a more professional appearance, Either punctuate correctly (with capital letters where they apply) or use all caps.

you should have used your married name on all your AOS paperwork, since that is the name you want to use. You can't send a form in to change that.

At your AOS interview, they will likely be able to do it.

I would not change the name on your SS card until after AOS, to avoid confusion since you already have a SS number. But thats just a hunch...

There is no requirement to marry with a K-1 visa...one can choose not to marry and go home.(beneficiary) or just stay single (petitioner).
That said, it certainly is not a time to figure out if you want to marry or not. Besides the obvious issue of signing an affidavit that you intend to marry already, the entire process is about 2 people who already want to marry, and 90 days is not nearly the time to figure that out or not, or to "confirm" what they were already thinking. It's for people comitted to marrying. Yeah, sometimes things happen and that falls apart, but that is not supposed to be part of the plan.

After reading at these forums about all of the "train wrecks" associated with trying to plan wedding ceremonies predicated on the dream that the "good USCIS-fairy" will grant your timeline wishes... to be frank about the scheme....'taint likely to happen the way you hope! You should seriously consider making making your ALL of your plans, not set in stone, but rather in quicksand...with refundable/changeable contingencies built in and enjoy some more pixie dust...while you are waiting...  According to today's VJ stats, USCIS is currently processing mid-July 2019 EAD/AP applications, that is ~ 5.5 months, and the holidays will be here shortly. It is extremely likely that application processing will slow down even more, due to USCIS workers taking holiday time off. The  notion of trying to use emergency AP as a way to "get me to the church on time," won't fly either, take a look at the USCIS expedite criteria....

What would be the point? Very likely of little consequence to USCIS LFO. Now, a new employer would be a different situation altogether, they would want to see the EAD and your SSN, and a few other things.....

What you seem to be espousing is the fictional stuff of TV reality shows. Somehow, it seems that you may have a mistaken idea of the real purpose and method of the K1 Fiance(e) visa process. The Form I-129F visa petition instructions clearly states the the petitioner and beneficiary have 90 days to get married once the beneficiary enters the US. "The figuring out and deciding if you want to get married after US arrival" is nonsense, and should already be done and finished before the petitioner goes through all of the time and effort to apply for the K1 visa petition approval, and afterwards the beneficiary goes through all of the time and effort to apply for a K1 visa, not after the beneficiary comes to the US.  Not sure is it is due to imagination or comprehension.

Well it sounds like you will be headed to "Chucktown" near the end of January. If it is any consolation, you should encounter nicer weather in South Carolina than in Denver at the end of January. I lived in CO for over ten years, and ran into some pretty nasty snowstorms during the winter months.

Have a safe trip, and a good and successful interview.

Well, of course.  But the intention to marry is part of the K-1 deal.  Contrary to what you may have seen on television (90 Day Fiance), it is not a "trial run."  That is what visiting is for.

Uh, no.  As you attest to your plan to marry each other in the petition, the K-1 90 days is in fact not a "let's see if we want to" deal.

It sounds like USCIS dropped the ball. It was good thinking by you for taking those screen shots. I would advise you keep pushing for an AOS interview appointment in Colorado. Be advised that you don't have any idea when that will be, i.e., how fast/slow the Denver local field office (LFO) may be for AOS adjudication. Additionally, you will likely be placed at the bottom of the pile at your new LFO.  Be sure to post a proper COA with USCIS and USPS, trying to leave the bureaucrats no  good excuse for mis-shipping your mail. Though sadly, keep in mind, even if it is their error, you will likely be the one jumping through the hoops. After seeing some of their "marvelous" work, I have to wonder if the scheduling minions in Alexandria VA have any concept of the distances between say Atlanta and Denver, or if one word is just down the list from the other??

Good luck on your immigration journey.
