This is a DIY site, the majority of us have done the entire process on our own, up to and including naturalization. As long as you have a straightforward case, no need for an attorney. There are guides at the top of the page and you can ask questions at any time. Best of luck.

I am GC holder. 1-3yrs? You sure about that? Can the process be fastened once I become a citizen?

Just to be clear as I think you may have misunderstood - the timeline mentioned is for USC’s who sponsor their spouses. It will be longer for you as a LPR, but if you can apply for citizenship in 2 years then hopefully not as long as it could be.

Good luck.

Here is the guide for the I130 process you are about to start.  We are here to help answer questions, but the form is fairly simple and can be filed and paid for online.  You should also study the N400 guide for yourself as even though you have two years before you can naturalize, you can start doing research now.

Good Luck!

You don’t need a lawyer. This from someone who hired lawyer before stumbling upon this site, and for exact same reason: not to make mistake.I do understand that lawyers can be helpful but this whole notion that they are absolutely necessary is nonsense, and greed plain and simple.
