So, when I was still a permanent resident 4years ago. Spouse filled a ds-160 and although he said we were married and included my name in the ds-160, he put in his address as my address and clicked “no” that he has no relative in the U.S - and he was going to a friend’s wedding. The visa was refused. Issue is now our ir1 interview is upcoming in a few weeks. I’m concerned that his “No” answer to having a spouse/relative in the u.s may be charged as misrepresentation. Should we be worried?

I would expect that he'll get questioned about it and hopefully they'll let it go as an honest mistake tho it probably wasn't. At least he answered yes to that you're married and gave your information so he has that going for him but you might get prepared for a not so favorable outcome. What country are we talking about btw?

Attend the interview, answer all questions truthfully, and await the results.  I do not see any advantage worrying about it now.

Agree nothing you can do anyway.

Nah not a material fact. If he said he was singled and yet you were married or gave false documents then that would ban entirely different matter

I guess if his only relative in the USA is you, then he could make a case for not considering a wife a relative, or misinterpreting the question as "any OTHER relative".  But the truth is what he needs to say.  It's a common attempted trick that backfires in such cases.  He should be ready to explain truthfully,  why this should not be considered a lie on a previous application.

You said he "lied" so presumably that is true and he lied for a reason.  They will know this and it will impact their trust in his interview answers.  It is what it is.
