Filed ROC: 10/05/22

Received my 10yr Greencard today.

Notice date: 08/20/23

No interview needed at all.

It's a pleasant surprise. I was actually planning on applying for my citizenship shortly but may wait a little bit.

Congratulations!

Can you please share which service center processed the application? Just for comparison.

Our case went to Potomac, which is probably slowest for I-751.

Thank you! If it's in part of the receipt number above the letter of approval then it's MSC, National Benefits Center.

Hope that helps. I have honestly lost track of the whole process and had my 3yr mark for eligibility for citizenship marked which was actually now. I was content with my 48 month extension even though it's a little more of a hassle to travel with and makes checking in early almost impossible.

Wishing you all luck!

When is everyone eligible to apply for citizenship?

3yrs for spouses instead of 5yrs for anyone else.

"3 Years of Continuous Residence. The spouse of a U.S. citizen residing in the United States must have continuously resided in the United States as an LPR for at least 3 years immediately preceding the date of the filing the application and up to the time of the Oath of Allegiance."

To add to that: there also should enough physical presence in the US, applicant and US citizen sponsor spouse should be living together in marital union all the way until LPR takes oath. Applicant should also be of a good moral character.

Can you please tell us more about your packet? What evidence did you submit? And what form was your packet in? Hard cover?

Today I applied for N400, after 329 days of total inactivity on my ROC... and as it's an electronic application, already received NOA and Bio reuse.

thank you for your response! I know this info, but it’s certainly helpful for anyone reading who isn’t sure.

In my original post, I more so meant when is everyone in this group applying but I can see how it reads differently. I’m hoping to apply soon I’m just waiting for my new passport to arrive from my home country!

Same here ! applied for N400 as soon as I could this week, had the 48months extension on Green Card, but pursuing citizenship seems more convenient for me right now. Good luck on your process!
