The divorce hasn't yet been filed, it's just been requested. Knowing the spouse requested a divorce, would you advise the GC holder to file the N400 now?

@OldUser seeking your opinion/advice. What would you suggest if a USC spouse has asked for a divorce after 5 years of marriage and the Conditional GC holder still has a pending I751 (w/48 month extension) and has not yet filed the N400? What happens if the divorce gets finalized before USCIS takes the next step on either the I75I or the GC holder files the N400?

Any idea the turnaround time from DQ to interview at US Embassy Kingston, Jamaica for 1R1/CR1 spousal visas?

Attended Citizenship interview w/spouse (I751 was still pending, no letter sent with application requesting combo interview). Spouse was asked to wait outside. 1st question officer asked was if spouse was available if needed. Took oath, asked to verify my name and birthday. Civics Questions: Which state borders Canada? Name 1 part of the government. Who lived in the US before the Europeans? What did the Declaration of Indepedence do? What was Benjamin Franklin known for? Name 1 part of US Congress. Reading/writing: Columbus Day is in October. Asked a few questions about spouse and family also: Bday? How we met? Work? Any kids? Family close by? Have we traveled outside the US? If so, where? Are parents US citizens? I passed and was approved! I-75I case updated (shows new card is being produced) and I was told if I receive a green card to mail it back. Waited an hour for Citizenship Ceremony and am now officially a US Citizen!!! Good luck to everyone on this journey.

I did the same but I also spoke to a USCIS agent on the phone today and was told since a I751 interview is not always necessary it is up to the interviewing officer. She also stated they do not have a way of requesting a combo interview. Therefore, I should discuss it with the officer at the N400 interview. My spouse will accompany me to the interview and be on standby if needed.

What's a combo interview? Is that necessary once the N400 interview is scheduled? I thought the interviewer would cancel out the I751 if Citizenship interview is successful.

You will need to bring the transcript(s) to your interview. You can log in, go through a series of security questions, download and print the "return transcript" from here: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript. The Embassy had not yet received the medical results, so they were "refused" pending the results. Per the Embassy, Andrews is about a month behind on getting the medical results to them. Not sure if this was discussed but as of today 2022 tax docs are required. I know someone who was DQd in 2021 and interviewed today and was asked for the 2022 taxes.

You can bring either copies of the US passport or US birth certifcate as proof of the sponsor's citizenship. Originals are not required for these documents. The applicant needs to bring originals and copies of their passport, birth certificate and marriage certificate.

US Embassy Jamaica made the police certificate valid for 2 years due to the backlog
