There's none.

Did you pay the $220 fee? If so, the GC will be mailed to your address

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

I'd amend that to say that the gc will most likely be delivered to OP's address, but given my experience, direct and vicarious, with USCIS and USPS, there is room for the possibility it is never delivered. If the fee wasn't paid then the link I provided must be used, and in most cases the fee must be paid online.

He said "to apply for GC."

He already came in on IR1

I have no idea, I will ask my wife if she did pay while doing the USCIS filing initially because she said she ticked for the GC to be mailed as soon as I arrived the US.

In the interim, the 551 stamp in your passport serves as  your evidence of legal residence.

Welcome to the USA!

The green Card fee ($220) is paid after the interview online only.  Most people pay this before arriving.  Until that $220 is paid, no actual Green Card will be sent.

It is paid here:

this is a separate fee that is not paid when she files the petition

when the visa is approved,  there is a another fee due to process the green card

it can be paid before u enter the US or after

What your wife ticked is the SSN card not the green card. If you haven't paid for your green card, it won't be mailed out.
