It says no valid record can be found on the entered receipt number.

Yes, I understand that. But what do you mean with “purchase” a visa?

Did you have an interview?

where was said interview?

When was the interview?

Yeah from GT bank.

So you are applying for Visitor Visa from Nigeria. Did you pay the Visa fee at GT Bank? If you did you would have gotten a receipt#. Payment can;t be done from US? So who paid?

Yeah from GT bank.

Visas are not purchased.   You must interview after paying a fee for the applications.

Sounds like you got scammed.

I think some of us are wondering if there is a communication/language gap here. What exactly do you mean by “purchased a visa”? Do you mean you applied on the official website and paid the $160 visa fee as instructed to be able to schedule the interview?

The word "purchased" is a red flag.

How much did you pay for this visa "purchase"?

Who is "inputting it from the US", why aren't they helping you, did they vanish after your "purchase"?

How did you find this service (or did they find you)?

My understanding from the words purchased and GT Bank is that OP paid the visitor's visa fee.

Currently imputing the receipt number on some website and is getting an error message.

He still needs to schedule and go for the interview.

If the receipt number starts with numbers, I would bet you that it is the number that you will need to book your interview appointment.

@Nnuro what website did you use to verify the receipt number. not sure it is "verifiable" unless you get the error when booking your appointment

@Jorgedig GTBank is the primary bank where US visa fees are paid in Nigeria.

@SusieQQQ I agree with you that there is a communication gap.

Step 8 where you verify your MRV receipt information.

After entering those information it says the receipt is invalid
