We applied at the office before filing. Cars was issued within 7 days. Getting the appointment to visit the office for interview was the part that took three weeks.

Ideally it's best to apply for the SS card BEFORE you even marry, but if that ship has sailed, best to apply via your local office if you can.

Just adding that we also applied at our local office, but did it after we were married and had no problem.

Yes they are! That is, the I-485, I-131 & I-765.

Hello! New to the group. Submitted my AOS package to Chicago lockbox. USPS verified delivery on April 28. Haven't heard anything yet, but hopefully soon!

Our AOS package was delivered to the Chicago Lockbox on April 30th and this morning we got the text messages with the case numbers. Our recieved date is May 2nd. Hopefully you get yours soon as well.

I've noticed quite a few people have already received text notifications that have submitted after us. Just hoping we didn't mess something up! Will find out soon enough.

Did you also include the G-1145 e-notify form with each petition?

I included the G-1145 at the top of the entire packet - right underneath the payment authorization. I didn't include it for each individual petition though!

Uh-oh. Biometrics appointment just arrived, but it’s when we’ll be away on our honeymoon. I hear it can’t be quite difficult to change in an efficient manner. Wish us luck!

In other posts I have seen people say they were able to do a walk-in for the biometrics and were able to get it done. They went to the location listed on their notice before the assigned date and explained the situation and the employees allowed them in. They went during not so busy time of the day. Maybe you can try that out.

Hey all just joining in now, Mailed my packet out on April 26 was received the 27th. still no update or emails. Hopping I didn't mess something up!!

Wait until friday this week to get a message or even  by regular mail, if not next monday start reaching out to them
