He was then denied entry and sent back to his country.

 

To say she was ticked off of his actions is an understatement.

Wish my grandpa had read this before travelling to Israel. I'm afraid I have a little anecdote to add to this. 

Grandpa had decided to surprise each of their three children with a trip to their desired destination. My mom chose Rome- Madrid- Israel- Egypt. This was back in the day when cell phones were not very common. So they'd just call us from the hotel room, or from the airport. Well, when they were entering Israel, the asked my 95-year-old grandpa whether he was carrying any weapons. He said "yes" very confidently. My mom was shocked to say the least. He was just joking that his razorblade was a gun. Well, they were put in secondary inspection for a couple hours. A 50 something year old woman and a 95 year old man from Argentina. Yeah that was not fun.

There was a thread long ago my husband reminded me of... unfortunately it got deleted I think. The gist of it was somewhere in Bali after a wedding, the new spouse felt as if they had been drugged at the party and 'fell asleep'. Cue some sort of crazed real fight or hallucination and when they 'awoke' they had no clothes at all in the room. This somehow led to the person thinking that their clothes had been possessed by a spirit, accusing the new spouse of crazy things, and later having the clothes return which solidified their belief of some sort of spirit possessing the clothing. A lot of other legendary threads I can think of don't seem to exist anymore.

We never got any firm answers or resolution.

The OP never came back after 20 March 2017.

 

The thread was locked in October 2017, but I couldn't find a reason for "why then" or even "why."

Maybe it was part of overall forum-housekeeping at the time.

Not so much a funny thread really, but not much came close to the epic wild tale of Mcat and his ukrainian fiancée. I feel like the vj community rallied together to make him come to his senses. I sometimes wonder, how he’s doing these days.

The threads were late 2009 into mid-2010.

All were removed in 2011 as part of his wanting to sever all ties to his ex-wife.
