Hi All, as I am finishing up my K1 i129f petition packet. My fiancee and I are wondering if we are being too cautious on sending too much?

Below is my content, there is "extras" as precaution (like her passport and birth certificate, also the 4 year span chat log), but is this really a bad thing, to over prepare? I live in NYC and fiancee lives in Vietnam, so I am not sure if Vietnam will be stringent on details (where more details works in this favor?).

Below is how we plan to compile our packet which totals to 139 pages if one side print and 85 if double print. Can anyone advise? Also is double side print an issue?

I would say it’s an overkill. I can guarantee you nobody will sit and read through your emails and chat logs. Copy of beneficiary’s birth certificate is unnecessary. I did not include any chat logs, call logs or emails and I was approved all the way thought the consulate. So in my opinion they’re unnecessary to send at this stage.

You’re missing one crucial piece of evidence that you met within the last 2 years - passport stamps.

also what is thank you letter??

I figured this is overkill as well. My evidence passport stamp is in "picture from trip" and "Airline hotel, gifts receipt"

If you’re keen to include call logs/chat convos/etc, I’d include only some that show it’s been consistent but definitely not everyday.

I just noticed that passport copies are a whopping 26 and 16 pages. Are you including every page?? You only need the bio page and that’s it. So it should be one page for petitioner and 1 page for beneficiary.

this passport is copy of my US Passport and her Vietnam Passport (this I believe is overkill as mentioned but as precaution?) I plan to double side print this. Again these are just be being OCD and precaution, but I do however want to make it manageable for the auditor.

This could include stamped passport pages showing travel together and/or visits

They’re already included as OP stated earlier in “picture from trip" and "Airline hotel, gifts receipt"

It’s completely unnecessary to send every page, please don’t do that. And you should  not print double sided as indicated on USCIS website:

  • Send single-sided copies of the application(s).
  • Send single-sided copies of your supporting documentation.

both is correct, passport shows stamping of my trip to meet my fiancee and support photos shows timeline matching , along with my airline and hotel booking matching to our time together.

Okay so why include it twice? Just include the pages with passport stamps that show you met.

You have a lot of unnecessary fluff.  Passport stamps are the best evidence of having met during the prior two years.

You don't need to include every page!

Beneficiaries birth certificate not needed.

Beneficiaries passport not needed unless it's part of the meeting evidence or she's currently in the US.. If not cut that out.

Petitioners passport only the bio page and the page with the passport stamps that show evidence of meeting. Cut the rest out.

Chat logs, if you want to include them take one screenshot from each month. Something where you talk about relationship relevant stuff.

For pictures, don't know if you did that already but you can easily fit 3 or 4 pictures with captions on one page in PowerPoint.

If I remember correctly Vietnam is not the easiest consulate and I think it's not a bad idea to frontload here but still, quality over quantity. Nobody's reading through all of that.

This^^. All 129F filings are evaluated more or less the same by USCIS. The scrutiny they get at individual embassies as part of the visa approval process can vary considerably.

Finally done...

No one ever got denied or an RFE for having too much proof right?  Why do you send divorce decree certificate instead of the whole divorce decree?

Excellent point.   This is one situation where more (larger document) is better.  I have seen people get RFEs for sending only the one page certificate and not the full decree.
