Hello guys!
Need some advice and help.
i received my I-797C notice receipt (3Nos) via mail today. (Posted our AOS packet on 12th July)

The issue I face now is that the name is spelled wrong in the mailing address, just one alphabet is wrong, and I’m just worried now that they will process with this wrong name for my filing process.

https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayTypoForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=typoError

You can correct the error via the link above.

Is it an error in the person's name or a name in the address, like of a street or something? (Though it looks like the form at that link should work in either case.)

It was an error in my spelling of last name like one Alphabet.
Thank you for the tip.
I hope they made a mistake just in my mailing address and not in the forms they are going to process.

If you dont correct it now they will continue the process with a wrong name. So it now.

Thank you guys, went online last night and corrected the error for all 3 Notices -I-797 for form I-485, form I-765 and form I-131.
Got a response USCIS will process the request and expect a reply by Aug,15,2021.

I don't know what's going on. It's been 5 months already, but no news about biometrics. I received an RFE for proof of income from my joint sponsor, which I submitted 18 days later. I haven't heard anything since then, meanwhile people who filled in May are getting their biometric appointments.

About 17days ago I tried to expedite just to see if it will trigger my application, but no response yet. I contacted my congressman who sent them an email the next day, yet no response as well.

I filled on March 12 2021. It's getting frustrating at this point.

We just received the biometric appointment, PD 3/17, Bio 8/13. Will try a walk in at our local Dallas office.

We did expedite the AP case with USCIS last week, which absolutely triggered this bio, I am sure of it. We decided to expedite AP and not EAD/I-485 because of a legitimate travel need. I didn't think the lack of drivers license and inability to work could be backed up as hardship in our case. And because bio is needed for all 3, plus EAD/AP is a combo card, I think it might benefit all 3 cases.

On the parallel front, I emailed my representative and received a form to fill out with details of my cases, so hoping that this will help push things along as well.

got my biometrics scheduled too finally. local office in San Diego / San Bernardino CA (had an ill-timed change of address)

March 18 2021 - package received by USCIS

April 10 2021 - NOA mail

July 12 2021 - bio letter received (just saw in informed delivery and assumed)

July 27 2021 - biometrics schedule

i actually have no access to the paper mail of the bio appt as im out of state for 2 months so i had to call uscis to confirm and ask for the schedule. my next dilemma now is how to get a copy of that letter via email. the rep i talked to said another helpdesk agent will call me so i can get a copy online.

july 26 - im currently out of state so i did a walk in biometrics in oklahoma.

july 27 - my i485 status got updated to case ready to be scheduled for interview. i have confirmed that my change of address was successful so the local office handling this is now san bernardino CA.

Update, received my biometrics appointment letter in the mail today. However, I did not receive any online notifications, and nothing changed on the USCIS case status tracker. It still shows "Case was received", which was a bit strange.

3/16/2021: Packet posted via UPS

3/18/2021: (PD) I-130/I-485/I-131/I-765/I-864/I-693 packet delivered to Chicago lockbox via UPS.

4/13/2021: 4 texts received, 4 receipt numbers. Fingerprint fee received for I-485 the day before according to status checker.

7/01/2021: Submitted a change of address for all 4 forms (AR-11)

7/17/2021: Notice date for biometrics appointment, scheduled for 8/11/2021

7/28/2021: Received appointment letter at mailing old address (!!), but scheduled to the correct ASC jurisdiction (Tampa) somehow (was previously under Houston ASC jurisdiction, as I previously lived near Houston).

I will attempt an early walk-in tomorrow morning. Will report back if successful.

Also, while I did submit an I-131 form, the biometrics letter only mentions forms I-485 and I-765 under "Case Type". Is this normal?

Good to hear! When did you submit your change of address, and how did you confirm that the change of address was successful?

Yes, both of your situations seem normal, same happened to me:

USCIS doesn't change the case status when Bio is mailed.

Bio letter doesn't state the I-131 case.

Did the biometric walk-in yesterday in Dallas. Showed up at 8 AM (long line, turned away, told to be back at 3PM), came back at 3 PM, told to come back at 3:30 PM. Came back at 3:30 PM - success. It was 30 min before closing and the place was empty. Seems like some places allow walk-ins when you show up first thing in the morning, others allow it before closing time.

However, our case status hasn't changed after biometrics. Some folks here have reported an immediate change to "ready for interview" or something to that affect, but so far nothing. I hope this is also normal?

For us, it updated to "fingerprints have been taken" two days after the appointment, and "ready to be scheduled for an interview" eight days after.
