Biden to slowly allow 25,000 people seeking asylum into US

Illegal immigration and asylum seeking is being conflated in this discussion. The US has signed a treaty on how asylum seekers are to be treated, Biden needs to bring our processes inline with our treaty commitments.

If you think the treaties we signed after WWII are no longer in our national interest, work to leave the treaty.

It is conflated by the media and those of a progressive disposition.

Even the LA Times article whilst mentioning all sorts of reasons none of which fall within treaty commitments mentions that the prime motivating factor is better paying jobs etc etc.

And we do of course have the Biden administration wanting to include climate change and domestic abuse, neither of which are in treaty commitments.

By the time they are finished most Americans will be eligible to claim asylum.

Do the treaties say anything about releasing people into the US with NTAs?

Anyone who has immigrated here legally should be against amnesty or allowing our laws to be bypassed. I was separated from my wife for 30 months during the process. People need to understand that there are consequences to there actions and choices.

It seems the $3bn in'aid' is more a bribe to stop the Caravans, Biden does not want to be seen with blood on his hands.

I don't believe Democrat politicians look at immigration as a humanitarian issue more than they do as a voting block for Democrats issue,  The poor, the sick and uneducated who are reliant on Government support will almost always vote for the guy giving the most handouts, regardless of party, Free health care anyone? Free Education? $2000 a month?  For Democrat politicians, the strategy is; "We know we cant earn your vote, so let's buy it"  When Democrats draft legislation, it's almost never in Americas best interest, it's not about helping the private sector, never about small business and creating private sector jobs and a better life for the working class, it's focused primarily on their voting blocks, such as public sector unions,  where the majority of union employees vote Democrat, wouldn't you do the same to secure your exorbitant pension?, They have the Black voting block, 'If you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black  'hands off to them for successfully hijacking it from Republicans, And they won over the Woman vote in this election, (electing a sexual predator of all people) and for the last 4 years, they've been extremely focused on granting amnesty to illegal aliens, Why? VOTES.  In which the Democrats goal is to grant voting rights to in a future Immigration bill.

WASHINGTON – The Biden administration plans to reopen a controversial overflow facility to house unaccompanied migrant teenagers as the government grapples with the possibility of a surge in apprehensions at the U.S.-Mexico border amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The facility in Carrizo Springs, Texas, will house up to 700 migrant children within the next two weeks, according to a statement Tuesday from the Office of Refugee Resettlement, the agency within the Department of Health and Human Services that is responsible for migrant children. The temporary Influx Care Facility will be used for children ages 13 and older who have been medically cleared of COVID-19, the statement said.

Happily, they can save a lot of this by not testing the illegals for the coronavirus*.

     *pronounced "coronaveerus" in Spanish, incidentally

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hoping they all stay in Texas.

I hear there is low paying work selling pre-owned toilet seats.

Nancy Pelosi should welcome them in her house and feed them ice cream, bet they can all fit inside her mansion.
